Mr Angry My favorite stat of all time is that, on average, we all have fewer than 2 legs.
That is all.

Snowball because his style would never fit the Rodgers plan?

To suggest winning a penalty at Liverpool and scoring in a couple of games, in between 2 stupid red cards and numerous innefective displays suddenly makes Long a great player, is rather surprising from somebody who prides themselves on rational analysis. I'm not suggesting he's shit either but his overall period at the club both from watching him play, and the stats suggests he's been no better then average.
Given the calibre of player Long has played with since he joined the club, I'd be rather stunned if he didn't have a few goals in his time. But the big glaring stat staring at me right now is that our 'number 9' and one of the 'senior strikers' at the club will have missed at least 7 games this year due to suspension.
Oh and on your MACSTATS, a giant LOL to considering the Liverpool away game a win, I'd love if every game we were drawing over 90 minutes went to extra time, then perhaps we'd have beaten Notts Forest, Scunny, Doncaster, Watford, Ipswich, Bristol City.

Snowball THIS SEASON HE IS SCORING MORE GOALS PER MINUTE PLAYED THAN ANY OTHER PLAYER
LAST SEASON, DESPITE NOT PLAYING ANYTHING LIKE AS MANY STARTS HE WAS THIRD TOP SCORER
AND WAS AVERAGING ALMOST EXACTLY A GOAL EVERY 180 MINUTES (2 GAMES) THAT'S TOP FORM
IT'S NOT JUST THIS SEASON'S STATS. HIS TOTAL GOALS PER TOTAL MINUTES PLAYED IS VERY, VERY GOOD
AND MATCHES DOYLE AND HUNT.
SHOCK HORROR, KEEN, OVER-ROBUST 22-23 YEAR OLD HAS TWO SENDINGS OFF IN A SEASON
PERSONALLY I AM GLAD HE SHOWS SUCH SPIRIT.
HOW MANY SENDINGS OFF DID ARSENAL'S VIERA HAVE?
HOW MANY TIES HAS WAYNE ROONEY BEEN SENT OFF?

prostak The sad thing is, Snowball's not bad when he's just providing comment. It's just when these bullsh*t statistics come into play that it all goes wrong. If statistics were as significant as he makes out, Norway would have been the world's greatest team after adopting Charles Reep's recommendations. His defence of Long, for instance, fails to account for certain significant factors - such as the player's frequent inability to control a football.

weybridgewanderer snowball,
kebe has scored 2 goals in 5 FA Cup games, 1 every 2 and a half games
if projected into the league, will he score 18 goals over the season?
by papereyes » 25 Feb 2010 10:29
prostak Wasn't David N'gog the best striker in the Premier League on goals-per-minute at some point this season, something like one goal every 60 minutes? Crux time, Snowball - if we could sign anyone, would you rather Rooney, Ibrahimovic or N'Gog?

Snowball Goals per minute on the pitch is a STANDARD measure used by many football journals and pundits.
And yes, I have a season ticket and usually get to 4-5-6 away games a year too.
But I have learned that eyeball and emotion are crap ways to judge.
The end of a season when the stats are in, tells the real tale.
