genome Far be it from me to judge what other people do with their money but to ask for £10 per match for one camera angle and BBCRB commentary, they can fcuking do one

And if you're seriously comparing that to the experience of going to the match in person, and all the sights, smells, camaraderie and sense of community that go along with that, then you're equally mental

Each to their own but it is not 1 camera angle. It is similar camera work to a Sky game. 1 main camera and 3 others they can cut to as they see fit.

And it’s better than the Sky red button as you get replays etc.

Watching >>>>>> not watching, although that isn't always true of course.

It's not an alternative to going. You can't go. End of.

It's an alternative to:

a) finding a dodgy stream, which is unreliable, comes with security risks, tends to be significantly poorer quality and may just drop completely at any moment, assuming you can find one at all, which often you can't

b) paying SKY, which means you're funding evil, assuming they actually have all games available on a red button

c) not watching at all

If you don't go to football matches to watch football, then obviously a service where you pay to watch football isn't for you. But that's because you don't want the product, not because the product isn't any good or crazy overpriced.

Also, technically, going to a game is effectively one camera angle

Is anyone else now slightly worried that someone might come in for Joao before the transfer window closes?

With his injury record? They'd be mad to.

Am I right in saying Joao has been involved in all 5 of our goals this season?

Talk about 1 man team.

In fairness we haven’t used Meite or Puscas yet.

Why would it be a worry ?
We’re not exactly showing signs of flogging off our main assets....

That's why I'm only slightly worried.

Season ticket news has been released and while it may seem a bit convoluted, I think this is brilliant by the club

I'm setting up a six week course to enable understanding of the rules...

I did have to read it through twice, there seems to be a comprehensive list of FAQs here as well - https://ticketing.readingfc.co.uk/screenloader.aspx?type=include&page=custom/documents/html/faq.html#reduced%20Capacity

Once I got my head around the scheme, I really have zero complaints and as much as we have been a bit miffed by the actions of the club over the summer, they really do seem to pull out all the stops (as much as they can) when it comes to tickets and the like.

It seems a very good plan.
Prices are held for yet another season.club are not looking to rinse fans to make up for lost revenue
Scheme gives huge flexibility
Up front payment will pretty much be covered by credit from last season
Looks like it will cover any variation on when we can get back to games
Takes into account individual circumstances
Undoubtably some non STH will think it unfair but not sure how else you could fairly prioritise access.
Slight issue where people share a ST as this looks like it will be more strictly policed. My kids currently share and looks like I’ll have tochose a favourite.... however I can see why they are saying the ticket must be linked to the correc individual.

I'd rather have too much detail than too little, think the club have done well here.

Yep happy with this - although of course would be happier if my ST also bought me iFollow access

I know people don’t like me banging on about supporter’s rights and so forth but I was a little put off by this in the FAQs:
All tickets purchased will be strictly non-transferable and will include the attendees’ name. Attendees are requested to bring photo ID with them on a matchday as spot checks will be in place. All purchasers will be required to confirm compliance with a new supporter code of conduct and relevant terms and conditions at the point of purchase, which will include a requirement for ticket holders to provide a COVID-19 self-certification. This sounds quite onerous, but it is for your safety and those of fellow fans.

I would strongly prefer 1) ID checks to be limited to circumstances where individuals are thought to be using a concession ticket they are not entitled to, or purchase alcohol, and 2) tickets to be fully transferable, within those boundaries. I don’t usually carry ID and believe that demanding it goes against our right to privacy.

The club could ultimately repay the advance credit by allowing access.

Don’t forget the other possible bits of the routine; wear a mask, sit in silence in your own dedicated pair of rows and use an app to order any food/drink (that’s if the bars in the concourse are allowed to open if course). Oh and the bogs may all be closed too
