Chameleon How many oxf*rd points clear do we need to be before they'll show more than a 30 second snippet. Bunch of absolute dognonces on Quest.

Can't be worse than ITV's old show. The day we set the 106 record and lifted the trophy, we got 30 seconds and they did extended highlights of Southend! BBC led by Manish was probably the best it got.

MOTD is one of the biggest perks of promotion, though last time most analysis was on how shit we were.

Only positive I remember from our last Prem season was that period in January where we kept scoring late equalisers + winners and on Soccer Saturday Stelling said "What time is it? It's Reading time!"

Dunno what it is about that line but I like it a lot and I always get a slight smile when I see that clip.

Only problem with The BBC highlights was Steve Claridge who always seemed to have some sort of grief with us.

I seem to remember a lot of pundits having thinly veiled genuine fury that we dared to crash Southampton and West Ham's party at the top of the table.

Silver Fox Wednesday night show always has more highlights of the Wednesday games and shows them first, presumably because everyone's had a decent shot at seeing the Tuesday highlights already. They actually finally positioned our highlights correctly as first of the Tuesday games. Plus, as mentioned they were quite complimentary of us and seem to be edging away from the "this can't last can it?" narrative.

The worse the coverage and the more the writing off as “won’t last” the better as far as I’m concerned. Just quietly get on with things game by game.

Yep

I'll be concerned when experts start saying they can't see anyone catching us!

Gordon Cummings will be sadly missed in that regard...

I seem to recall him challenging the rougeometer and telling us not to get carried away when we were about 20 points clear in late Feb.

Miss that old bugger.

We could win the treble and no one would care. I kind of like it that way.

But having said that a bit of coverage would be nice

Perfectly happy for us to fly under the radar and/or have the media play us down.

I get nervous when teams/pundits think we will win.

It will work in our favour. Hopefully the manager is letting the players know that the press don't take them seriously, use it as motivation.

Derby on the verge of being bought by a Cousin of Man City's owner, a guy called Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan.

https://theathletic.com/news/derby-newc ... JQROiLw7Cn

The group includes Christopher Samuelson.

Enough said!

Presumably they will have to pay about 4 times what it is worth given how Derby valued Pride Park....

Oblensky's in there too. Wasn't he involved in TSI as well?

Whilst laughing at Derby is fun, I wouldn't wish Samuelson on my worst enemy, hopefully they steer clear.

Norwich looking good, forwards showing good movement - albeit aided by some awful Bristol defending

The Liam Moore worst penalty of the season award goes to Bristol City. That was shocking.
