I've said it for the few seasons, it's Niall Clark we've missed. As much as Pardew and then Coppell assembled a naturally fit squad it was Clarks work that got us fit and injury free.

I've said it for the few seasons, it's Niall Clark we've missed. As much as Pardew and then Coppell assembled a naturally fit squad it was Clarks work that got us fit and injury free.


The irony was he was a fat bloke! He always looked well off the pace during the pre-match warm ups.

He was, IIRC, the only member of staff Pardew came back and poached to go to West Ham with him.
