Not once has the team that finished 4th won the championship play-offs.

We should know we lost the last 2 play-offs and we finished 4th in the league on both occasions.

Thank god we can't finish 4th That dubious honour lies with QPR.

Any chance the Burnley game will be on TV?

I believe that Sky will show 2 games at the same time; if Wigan beat Brum tomorrow then those 2 games will be ours and Brighton's.

If Brum beat Wigan, then the Blackburn v Wigan game will probably be shown (as theoretically Blackburn might still make it) and then either our game or Brighton's.

Sky will have 2 games but would think they will focus on relegation instead.

Nope we finished 4th in 2009 & 2011 - both times we had 77 points.

It used to be the team that finished 3rd that failed beaten by 5th or 6th, as it's often a form team squeeking in taking out a team that was hoping for autos and getting disappointed. Recently it seems to be that most the team battling for 1st and 2nd that fails falls apart and ends in 4th / 5th getting beaten by a team that's been solidly play offs and goes on a good run at the end of the season - or goes on the run to squeek into them.

I could cope with QPR winning it. I could cope with losing in the Final again. Just please don't let it be us that the crooks beat in the Final if they do make it.

Quite honestly, I'll be gutted whoever beats us & it won't matter much who deals that blow. I absolutely do not want QPR to win it though.

I'd rather we lose in the semis than lose at Wembley again too. I just can't face another Wembley defeat.

If we get in the play offs of course. I'm really not at all confident.

I think we will make the playoffs and I have a sneaky feeling that we will win them. I think QPR will beat Wigan and we are Derbys bogey team... Then who knows. I honestly think in one game we can finish of QPR's season. The players will be up for it. Just hope we'd get to play in the hoops against those fake fcukers and they have to play in that disgusting green and yellow kit again

When we know which of our players are less unfit than others we'll have an idea of our chances. I hear we've asked the league for permission to field 12 players, with Akpan on the pitch to push Williams around in a wheelchair....

Sadly I'm not sure we will beat Burnley but fancy us to get a draw and still finish 6th thanks to Brighton only managing a draw at Forest.

Strangely I can actually see us going up. No expectation on us to win like on previous occasions, and the team that finishes 6th has a pretty good record in the play offs. If we can sneak past Derby I fancy to us to beat QPR in the final, as long as they beat Wigan. Its them I'm most worried about.
