Ascotexgunner That is one of t he worst decisions I've ever seen. Keepers a good few yards outside the box when he handles.

Hard to tell but allegedly O'Mahoney handled it first.

How good has Ashqar Ahmed been tonight? Nice tough decision for Noel Hunt to make on Saturday between him and Kelvin Abrefa.

Hard to tell. Could have hit O'Mahony's arm, but looks more like it hit his back.

Defence went to sleep as did the cameraman. Can always rely on us to go from comfortable to nail biting.

Good result and performance. We were energetic and hungrier than them. Key takeaways:

- We have a capable deputy for JP
- Ahmed is a star, the pick of the bunch. Abrefa has started the season well but it's a matter of time until Ahmed gets a chance in the league.
- Spencer and Ryan also do not look out of place in men's football, plus the more experienced Stickland, Rushesha and Garcia
- Ehibhatiomhan has earned the no.9 spot for Saturday
- Doyle looks a real talent
- This is why we are disciplined in signings. We have to keep the academy pathway open.

Difficult selection decisions for Hunt in a good way. Whoever starts needs to perform if they want to keep the shirt.

I liked the energy and the press....

Same again on Saturday....

Dan K has something about him...

I really hope things click for MOM, he doesn't seem to be a 'back to goal' forward rather an 'off the shoulder' one - in which case he needs that kind of service...

We have a cat 1 academy, which has proven its worth over the last two difficult seasons. Very proud of our young players tonight, who played without fear or any weight on their shoulders. It matters more when they are your own.

Enjoyed that. Ahmed was brilliant. Nice to see us play with a bit of width. And reassuring we have some decent backup options around the pitch.

huge credit to pompey for the excellent atmosphere they created in a tie against the back-ups of a team in a division below them in a tinpot competition, very impressive

Excellent performance and well deserved win. All did well but as others have said, special mention must got to Ahmed. Looks like he has filled out over the summer and when you force the opposition winger to swap wings you know you are doing something right.

Both goals well taken. Excellent double save by Stephens in the first half.

The only negatives were losing the clean sheet and the transphobic chanting from the Reading fans.

windermereROYAL Can`t wait for the fallout tonight when our weakened side loses without scoring again.

Could well be a repeat of Millwall a couple of years ago. Struggled at the start of the season, then went to Millwall and won 4-0(?).

It may not have been 4-0, but I’ll take the 8) regardless.

Norfolk Royal Is that a record crowd for Portsmouth? Says 40,525 on the BBC app.

Actually 14,525 on their website.

Lost 4-0 at home in a PSF against them 3 weeks ago, now win 2-1 at Fratton. Think we can say that, at the moment, Noel and his management team are improving the squad.
