Bid is £7m plus clauses from Leicester.

As if anybody with half a brain cell expected Brian to go on the radio and say we've received a bid when we all know they keep their business quiet. Knew straight away to ignore that radio interview when the story broke as it was a load of nonsense.

"If it’s a Championship club and it's Leicester who offer that kind of money then it will be down to the board. My view on Shane Long is he is a Premiership player and I’d sign him for any Premiership team that I was involved with."

So basically he's off in anyone offers what we want for him?

Duh !! That's eactly the case with EVERY team in EVERY league - with the possibile exception of Barcelona (although I'd like to see Man City test their resolve with a £150m bid)

Nice, school holidays hey? If not, then "DUH," really?

My main point wasn't about every player having their price but about McD having given the impression that we wouldn't sell to another Championship team. That was all. But seems like we'd sell to anyone now.

Feck me, there are some arrogant tw@ts on there!!!

"West Ham are rumoured to have offered £8 million for him, £5 mil up front plus £3 mil add ons. We could easily match that".

"Get LONG now 5mil , then get maynard on a freebie next season when we r in premiership and brizzle r goin down."

"He's over valued at what? £8-£10 Million. I think Maynard at £6 Million would be better value."

Has any Leicester fan asked the obvious question - where is all the money coming from?

No, of course not.

So when, in a couple of seasons, they go into administration, and lots of Leicester fans with hang dog expressions pleading for their club to be saved and how its not the fans fault, just remember all of this.......

Most of them don't give a shite where the money is coming from...

What's annoying me is the fact that 99% of them are already considering Shane a Leicester player!

Quite.

And all this only happened to them a decade ago. Short memories indeed.

Talking of fans assuming they've signed a player because of paper talk, there was a thread on an Ipswich board while they were being linked to Hunt talking about how it would be a struggle to fit Wickham, Chopra, Sharp, Hunt and Coppinger all in the same team
It went on for about 7 pages and not one person thought there was a chance they wouldn't have all those players.

Almost a decade. They were "reformed" in 2002. They have some seriously short memories! I hope it collapes on them again and this time they actually do suffer for it.

Ideal Don't worry. Pretty soon the ageing Sven will start banging one (or more) of the players' wives, and shit will hit the fan.

Is that why he signed Matt Mills?

You do have to wonder with Sven...on paper, some of the players he's signed are questionable...but obviously he's had the opportunity to clock their partners ...maybe even checked them out on Google images !!! dirty dirty bustard ! :D

...he'll still get a nice pay-off !

Leicester have had a £2m bid for Ishmael Miller accepted, hopefully they will leave Long alone now.

On the other hand it was reported by the DM earlier that Leicester had had a £2-million bid accepted for Grant Holt. Now denied by Norwich.

This came from a normally authoritative journalist who covers Carrow Road regularly as well.

Either someone is telling porkies or someone at Leicester is ploughing out sh*t to the papers.
