McCleary's actions should be met with a shrug. Marginally too much force and he got what he deserved.

So undoubtedly Top Flight has registered on a Barnsley forum to explain how he's sickened at the disgusting attack and Reading fans' despicable response of clapping him off.

Eating too much isn't a condition, it's just greedy.

I am suffering a severe case of "tinpotitis" this morning. Due to a broken hobnob I was left with no option to go onto NSC to get a balanced view of last nights game.
Don't often wander onto other sites these days, they really don't like us do they? Not in a Palace way, more like a jealous sibling envious of our recent success.
Went to bed smiling!

Taken from that funny Brighton site
"You know what I mean. Many many Brighton fans dislike Reading, not in a Palace way but just because well, they've done better than us and are rather well, tinpot! It grates. Annoying. As I said, I wouldn't give a fig if many other clubs but we always seem to reserve defeats of this nature for 'them we dislike' in some measure!"

Their just so infatuated with us.

Not sure what their moaning about we gave them Agent Norwood :D

The best bit about it is just how deluded they are about how tinpot they are. Any other set of fans probably view Brighton and Reading as equally tinpot.

Gives Reading fans something more to be smug about.

Smug club, smug fans managed in the past by smug Alan and smug Nigel. All they need is smug Eddie for the set.

At least they've finally admitted they don't like us.

I think for the away league game we should all dress up as tinpots.

am really struggling to see how Norwood has warranted a score as high as he has from many!

He is absolutely dire. Thank god that Stephens was retained otherwise this pile of crud would be in our first team midfield. He had a shot from a free kick that their keeper didn't even have to move for. Virtually every cross failed to clear the first defender. He was the very weak link in what was a poor performance by the team.

Can someone explain to me exactly what tinpot is, and why are we always perceived to be it?

Bland, average, a general insult to a club with no history of success.

Cheap, unattractive, functional (just about) but nothing special. Sub-standard.

Yeah basically, which is why it's incredibly hypocritical.

Finding it increasingly more difficult to not detest Brighton as a club which is a real shame as about 3-4 years ago I didn't have much to say about them - neither good/bad, just another club. It is astonishing though that they have such petty, futile, moronic things to say about us - maybe it's the vast minority that have the issue, or just those idiots on HNA? I'm big enough to give an unbiased view of things which is more than can be said for the Brighton lot.

How does our history compare to Brighton's? A quick search on wikipedia shows we have far more successes than they do. I remember they once accused us of selling out to sponsors, when their stadium is called "The Amex".

I could go on. I really am fed up of hearing about this "distinctly average Championship club" now - a category which Reading could very easily fall into... but at least I can see that rather than deluding myself into thinking we are a big deal or something.

It is truly bizarre as you could match a lot of things about our clubs:

Play in blue and white
No major domestic trophies
History of playing primarily in the lower 2 divisions
Recent history of primarily playing in the 2nd flight
Southern team
Modern stadium

Funny they should say that considering we have the better major honours and achievements

As HNA? was down last night I had a gander at NSC when I got in. It was oxf*rd hilarious.

Though credit where credit is due there were a few posters who didn't regurgitate the monotonous 'tinpot' rhetoric and that noted their lack of care was because they were bitter about being knocked out.
