If Guthrie picks up another yellow card then he's suspended for 1 game....

So with QPR coming up next, i would "rest" him this week and put McAnuff in the centre

Only changes I see are McCarthy for Feds and perhaps Akpan for Alf given we're away and likely to get a physical battering up there, so with Adkins' penchant for 4-5-1 on days like those it wouldn't be much of a surprise. Sharp will be on the bench or not involved again.

why is bridge in one game and out the next.
is it an age thing or does he have to rest a dodgy body part like rio and vidic do.

Agreed! We need Guthrie next weekend for QPR game for sure...

Whatever the team I sincerely hope we manage to beat the league's bottom club!

------------------Federici-----------------

Gunter----Pearce-----Morrison----Kelly

McCleary---Guthrie----Baird-----Obita

------Le Fondre---Pogrebnyak----------

Taylor, Cummings, Gorkss, Akpan, HRK, McAnuff, Blackman

I think it'll be like this. Don't think well rush an injury back in McCarthy and Bridge. Adkins has pretty much ruled out Williams, Drenthe and Sharp.

Harsh on Alfie and Obita, but Wednesday will be up for it and we could do with Kanu's build and Jobi's experience.

He said he'd be back against QPR when I spoke to him the other day.

You posted this in two threads, you were that confident... and those spies of yours were very very wrong. #standard

And as I just said on the other thread, it was DRENTHE himself who said he was in the squad - no idea why he'd lie to people he'd be seeing again very soon. Maybe, having trained, he assumed he'd be in the squad. Pity he wasn't.

TBF to RL, he could have traveled up with the squad then on the morning of the game the manager just decided not to name him in the final 18.
