CONFIMRED - Joey van den Berg

by Pepe the Horseman » 20 Jun 2016 08:04

A Dutch journo is reporting we're about to sign this fella on a free. Just left Heerenveen and apparently has the record for most sendings off in the Eredivisie, so he must be fcuking nails.

At least he'll have a ready made Deacon chant for when he does something stupid.

Good clip on YouTube of him going mental after getting sent off against Zwolle. He speaks quite fluent English.

If he's a replacement for Tshibola, I'll boo every touch he ever makes. If he's going to be playing alongside him, I'll worship him like a god.

30 years old, unknown, completely mental and probably a replacement for one of the brightest talents outside the PL. Wow this is just the sort of signing to excite people and get them flocking back to the club.

vdB is on the books of World Soccer Consult

http://www.worldsoccerconsult.com/en/

The owner of WSC is Henk Van Ginkel, other management are Henk Timmer (who was pictured in the garden with Stam in the photo Jum Wu (Tiger's wife) posted after Stam was unveiled), and Sander Westerveld (remember him?).

On the coaches page they have three people

- Jaap Stam
- Andries Ulderink
- Said Bakkati.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a few more from this page get linked with us.

Also, van Ginkel appears to have been with Stam's agent for over a decade.

Gravenberch, however, has a different agent.

MSM Football Ltd - Cesare Marchetti

As does Brian Tevreden

His agent is Piet Butler

According to Charles Watts over on getreading, Joey has said that he hasn't heard of anything from his agent.

I'd take that with a pinch of salt, Stam's agent also denied talks with Reading...

Had this tweeted to me a minute ago, Andrew had this sent to him by a friend who supports Heerenveen.

Well he's going to fit in well with the mindset from last season then. Be difficult to spot his head going down first given some of the completion he'll be up against.
