BFTG - Lincoln

Depressingly adject performance.

Weren't set up to go for it from the start and got out thought and out played for 90min. Such a wasted opportunity with a large crowd. We could still be playing Monday and still wouldn't score, their keeper had a very boring second half.

Wing absolutely anonymous, and the subs just made us look less likely to do anything. Absolutely no plan B, to way we played was like the definition of insanity, keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome

To have been 3 points clear going into the final 3 games would have been nice. Instead we're out of them and out of form

To put WiFi down the middle and Wareham on the bench just so there’s a change you can make later in the game that might jizz things up for you is a bollox tactic.

Especially when you then take Kelvin off shortly after

We just seemed to keep the same basic formation just bringing on poorer players. Could have kept Campbell (he was crap but but put in a good cross) or Kelvin on, gone 3 at the back for example (Mbengue to RB)

. Taking off Garcia immediately seemed to remove any width from the LHS and Rushesha never going to be an attacking fb

Was one of the most deflating triple subs I remember in the circumstances

I don’t think Wing was actually marked that closely, he just didn’t play very well. I don’t know why him and Savage don’t swap over - for me Savage is now the better player and we should be giving him the ball whenever possible

Just looked like a side low on options, low on energy, up against a big organised side who had a plan for our strength, and executed it well. The sort of match up we've struggled with all season.

One mistake is punished and that's your lot.

Would expect that to do for us, Orient will get a massive lift from that which should carry them through.

The minutes and miles Savage, Knibbs, and to a lesser extent Wing, have put in this last few months is insane.

Yes - though they still have Wycombe who are on form and will be desperate for the 3 points

Hopefully they've exhausted themselves doing it, but I doubt.

I thought Lincoln deserved their win, they were more up for it than we were. Noel contributed to their goal with his dithering over the Wareham sub, JUST BRING HIM ON, it seemed to unsettle the team and inevitably they scored from the free kick. I thought at the time it was an own goal though.

It's the hope that kills you - and the big crowd and playoff hope did the trick, Reading turn to shit and the opposition up their game.

BTW I saw 1 magpie on the way to the game
