Couhig

The Chronic are saying Couhig may not be at Reading much longer as he has a hip problem. The board are actively listening to offers!

I see you've fallen for the old "Only read the headline and not the actual story" trick.

Yeah EFL rules clearly state club owners need to have pain free functioning hips. Worrying times.

There's believed to be a bid on the table from a consortium of former players; assume Smee still around as who else has the money/financial contacts who played for us?

Player led consortiums are often just the public facing front of the money that’s behind the scenes. For instance Niall Quinn and Sunderland is good example.

Ray Ranson knocks Smee into a cocked hat in terms of funds and contacts, plus he’s been involved in a lot of takeovers.
Stephen Hunt and Jim Karacan are both agents so probably well placed, Dave Kitson had various business interests and was linked with previous consortium.
Smee is older than Couhig and lives abroad. His involvement pre Couhig was pretty reluctant and I doubt he’d be interested except as a last option.

RC owns the club, stadium, training ground
Think potential purchaser would also want to look at car parks, earmarked for development
Also to get whole site might look at hotel too

Let's wait and see if they pass the medical, we don't want to get a new owner with a dodgy hip

Wasn't the hip injury a firework related incident, He stood on a balcony rail or something at the Savoy to get a better view of some fireworks and fell off? Let's hope has a good view of the pre-match fireworks at the SCL Madstad as I wouldn't want to see him fall over the rail on the upper west stand.

He won't be reading this, but in case he does or he has an AI bot summarise how the fans feel about him, I wish hip a full and speedy recovery, Hopefully we'll win promotion and we can give him 3 cheers.... hip hip horray.
