I don't know if it went in, but it didn't go in...

Nevermind ladies, I still remember Swindlehurst so tough luck - got beaten by the better team.

Only 275 miles to go now for you lot.

Can't stand Makems, bunch of whining, fickle, sanctimonious tossers. Nearly got into a fight with a couple at Trowell Services this morning. All I said was "Enjoy the journey lads because it's gonna be the highlight of your day"

I used to work with a Sunderland fan. I've never met a more delusional fan in all my life. I remembering him a few years ago saying completely seriously that he thought Sunderland wouldn't lose a single match all season, which changed to "for the rest of the season" after every defeat in the championship.

When they did eventually go back up, prior to their record low season, he was confidently predicting 8th place, but maybe better if they did well.

That's odd. I went to the FA cup final when Sunderland played Liverpool in ooooh, whenever it was, and the Sunderland fans were fantastic. We had a great laugh with them on the tube and sang 'Honolulul baby' while linking arms and dancing around the carriage.

After the game I met a load of them in a boozer near Liverpool St and once again they seemed like great people, knowledgeable, and up for a laugh and a drink in a friendly good natured way.

Amazing how times change isn't it?

Sorry, I've not known many Makems but I've never known one who hasn't turned out to be a complete twat. Can I also add self-pitying to their list of faults?

I assumed that Jay was suggesting that going back to his house wouldn't be convenient.

Cringeworthy. If the tables were turned and those two were Reading supporters I'd be deeply embarrased...
