Another excuse for Coppell not to select him. Seriously this could put him out of action for the rest of the season.

From the match thread:

Norfolk Royal
Royal Rother
howser It is fair to presume from todays pick that we have seen the last of Fae and Lita, coz face it if you cant get in the squad what we have got here then there is no hope for you. !

Fae was going to be on the bench but was sent home with a high fever.

Malaria probably if he went to the ACON.

Good call NR.

Could you have a look at my rash?

I'm very sorry to hear about this but, WTF has he done to be even close to selection?

Coppell doesn't need an excise with a near fully fit squad.

I'd say that being our only other fit midfielder before the ACN was enough

If just being fit justifies selection you might have a point.

However, not only was that then and this is now, Hunt has done a far better job since then and Bikey has done no worse in the same position.

Fae has yet to make any impact that justifies a start in central midfield but I wish him a speedy recovery.

Played very well for his National side in the ACN - Man of the Match in one of the games.

I thought once you contracted it it stayed with you for the rest of your life?

Best give him loads of G & T's as Tonic has quinine in it!

He'll be training within a couple of weeks. Malaria isn't all that serious, unless it's got to yuor liver, in whcih case you're oxf*rd. but since we've not heard of his passing, I think he'll be OK.

Ideal - treatment for it has moved on significantly since the 80s.

From the symptoms you described I'd say it's probably bad AIDS.

I think it's rather sad that in a thread where we are informed that Fae has contracted a lifethreatening illness, you proceed to use that thread to take a cheap shot at me in a poor attempt at humour.

I don't normally agree with you Ideal but you're completely right this time.

Come on guys only a couple of you have wished him a speedy recovery. Who cares about his form this is about whether someone lives or dies.

Get well soon Emerse. Hope to see you playing for us in the near future. (Ignore most of these idiots)

I think its rather sad that someone who has used some rather disparaging remarks about the same man in the past is now taking the moral high ground. "African waste of space" I believe was your chosen epithet.

FWIW if Fae's life was actually i danger you might have a point but given that ...

" he received prompt treatment and is now under medication. He is recovering well at home and shouldn't be out too long"
... I dont think that's the case.

However i apologise to all those whose sensibilities may have been upset by my post and wish Mr Fae a speedy recovery.

This is a message board mate where occasionally we can escape from the PC Police so if you don't like the heat get out of the kitchen rather than waiting for the Health & Safety officer to turn up.
BTW my dad had bouts of malaria for many years after the War (2nd World war for pedants who don't realise that if people refer to the War they are generally referring to that one)and it meant a few days in bed with the sweats.
If Fae ends up in bed will that be the first time he has broken sweat since signing for Reading?
Another cheap shot?
What is the world coming to?
