Nearly said "ten". I'm still in 2009, evidently.

Reading 0 Bristol rovers 6

Hobnob Completely unbeliveable. Words can't really describe the second half seen at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon. Shocking. Embarasing.

Not only did I suffer the game on the day but subsequently had to avoid my youngests gashead form teacher whenever I dropped him off at school. Even now my haidresser (a ST holder at the Memorial) reminds me of this on a regular basis.

Only time I have walked out of a Reading game before the end. Was enjoying a pint in the Jazz Bar (Shooters bar in those days?) as the 5th & 6th went in. Was working in Bristol the week afterwards as well and had the p*ss ripped out of me all week

Same as a lot of people, was walking round the back of the South Stand when No. 6 went in.

One of those moments you don't forget.

Bit like beating Liverpool away :P

Why do we go on about this every year?

I dont spend NYE waiting for the countdown to the anniversary of beating West Ham...

I moan about Leicester being called off

I was there and chanted "WE WANT 6" as loud as anyone!! For me it was the lowest point as a Reading fan.

Took a friend to this game. Don't think he ever went again. It was just unbelievable.

I was there and stayed to the bitter end. This was the low point and it made the Prem years even better

I left after the 5th and heard the 6th while passing by the Jazz Cafe.

I thought "Reading could do with that Jamie Cureton in our team."

"Roberts is a lumbering oaf"

I remember Burns just laughed it off as one of those things. Easy for him he didn't have a gas head brother in law bombarding me with texts and phone calls for the next 7 days. Has to be the lowest point of the Mad stad years?

I went to a small party round a friend's house later on that evening. Most of the guests were friends from her home town near Bristol, but all were city fans so they couldn't really take this piss with the result coming from their hated rivals.

I couldn't make that match, as I was in a pantomime (enter your own punchline here...)

I phoned my mate at half-time for a match report and he said "It's finely balanced, it could go either way...." Famous last words!
