Random Inflatables

by Row Z Royal » 06 Mar 2008 20:42

Compo's Hat 04 May 2003 at Stoke City a few random people including myself, brought a varied selection of inflatables to the last away game of the season in the league. Since then, random inflatables has gone from strength to strength with last years showing at Blackburn being the best so far! So this year i'm proud to announce that our last away will be...

Randon Inflatables VI: The Pride of Inflatables

You've heard of the Pride of Reading awards, so what more appropriate place than Pride Park to have the Pride of Inflatables awards. At stake, bragging rights on some geeky football forum on a thread where there will be hopefully no moaning and groaning!

I know it's two months away, but can the necessary enquiries be made by STAR to make sure that I'm going to be able to take Spiderman along?

Some clubs aren't as accomodating as Blackburn...

Thanks

You could buy in bulk and flog them to the fatties. That way everyone's happy.

Already looking forward to this.

Blackburn last seasonw as great fun, even from about half hour before kick off. :lol:

Fingers crossed we'll be in a party mood with a long summer to look forward too and a Premiership kick-off in August to look forward to also.

I've spoken to the Safety Officer at Pride Park today. Nice chap, very friendly and helpful.

The summary of what he said is :

- No problem with reasonably-sized inflatables (beach-balls and things that sort of size);

- Reasonable numbers, please, not thousands of inflatables;

- No problem with these before the match and at half-time, but not when play is in process as Derby get into trouble if play has to be stopped because of anything going onto the pitch;

- Please be sensible and don't bring anything which is likely to cause offence or spoil anyone's enjoyment - they want it to be a fun end-of-season for everyone.

My advice is that this will be fine within reason and as long as things don't get too out of hand. From what he said anyone who tries to bring in something the size of last year's JCB is likely to lose it at the turnstile, but no problem at all with small inflatables.

I've tried contacting a few companies asking for free balloons and possibly inflatables, but no joy as of yet.

Any chance that Kyocera would get involved?
