Man Utd tickets

Does anyone know when the man utd tickets go on sale?

Or is there a thread on this already?

I'd say give it another 3 weeks or so....

Don;t away tickets usually go on sale a couple of weeks ahead of a game ?

Presumably they can't even start to have the conversation until the TV fixtures are announced. No point selling them, only to announce the game has been moved and have loads of people complain it's buggered up their arrangements.

On the AST last season, it varied from 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly the opposition wanted to grab your money

Agreed. Wouldn't expect to see any on sale until the last week of July.

I can't believe they still haven't announced the points requirements for this yet! I know they had to wait for the TV re-arrangements before putting them for sale, but both clubs could have worked out the prices and dates when they go on sale long before that! I go away on a 10 day camp on Friday and where I'm going I'll have no phone coverage, let alone internet access! I'll bet they'll announce then that they'll go on sale the following Friday knowing my luck.

Typical RFC failing to take your personal circumstances into account here !
You must have a friend / relative you could bribe into getting you a ticket - maybe even a trusted Nobber ?
An AST would also get round the problem (although may prove expensive....)
On the other hand there is every chance that with this summer's weather you'll be flooded out inside 24 hours and back home in time to get a ticket.

It wasn't really my personal circumstances that I was moaning about, but the fact that they have now known for 3 weeks what would be our opening fixture and sorting out ticket details shouldn't be hard. I know that both clubs need to talk about it, but still. And I would get someone to sort out the tickets for me but I need to know the points and start selling date before I can ask them. AST is out of the question as I can only just afford a HST and a few select away games. Plus I work half the Saturdays of a year.

I've just phoned the ticket office to get my tickets for the first two home games and I asked about the Man Utd tickets. Response was probably next week and there will be about 3,000 tickets. I wonder at the chances of me getting one!

3,000? How many was it last year? Was it 1,500? I know it wasn't the full that we could have if we'd taken them all in the first batch. If it is double what we had last time then you might be able to get one, bearing in mind that it's on TV this time, and it is the second season (we played them 4 times last season. Getting a bit boring...)

(failing that, I MIGHT be able to get one for you... I think I have access to 3 tickets and only need 2)

They did say based on last season, I assumed the league game.

(I'll contact you via PM if the points needed for the tickets is too high....)

We took our full allocation last year IIRC, admittedly a lot of experts on here said the club had fvcked up by only asking for 1500 but as ever that was cobblers

Fair enough. It did seem a lot of people there I remember. Certainly more than 1,500.

IIRC, the PL rules for away allocations are 3,000 tickets or 10% of your ground (whichever is the smaller) - we'll get a 3K allocation for the game on 12/08.

As always, some away teams ask how many tickets you want. RFC said the initial allocation of 1500 and if they sold these then the remaining 3000. It's just so the club covers themselves off and doesn't lose money. It was the same at Everton as well when we only took 1500 tickets out of the 3000

We did take 3000 last season, but the club only had 1500 to sell.

Think about it!

They had an initial 1500 which they sold and then requested more which they were given. Which is nigh on standard at every club in this league, especially if they can sell the other half of the allocation to their own fans
