Kids season ticket or £1 a game tickets . . .

So, the Portsmouth game is now £1 for kids, as is the Middlesbrough and Sunderland games.

I paid £275 for each of my two sons for season tickets, £14.47 a game it works out.

Now if I had paid per each game, in each category and got the three games for just £1 I would have paid just £274 and who is to say more £1 matches will be coming up!

It just doesnt seem right to me that by spending, what is a lot of money, buying the kids season tickets, others will be get to watch Reading cheaper for not commiting themselves. . . . .

Two different transactions though. You signed up at the start of the season, get to all games (guaranteed), sit together (guaranteed).

They might get to one game cheap, or two or three but with no guarantee.

If every game could be bought for £1 then it would obviously be wrong, there is a balance and I reckon making a small number of games available cheap is fair enough, just not every week !!

It's ok riverroyal. The £1 for kids games will be a thing of the past once we have the expansion. At the moment, there are so many people wanting to come to games that we have to strangely reduce kids tickets to £1 to encourage them in. After the expansion, there are literally thousands of people who want tickets who can't get them, so they won't need to offer cheaper tickets. Or something.

The point is three out of the next four games costs kids just £3 for them all whilst a junior season ticket holder will be paying the equivalent of £43 . . .

As its kids no one really complains; if the club done this for adult prices there would be outrage im sure.

It's been done for adult tickets before.

They did a buy 3 get one free deal for adults a couple of seasons back, it caused the usual complaints from a few as they things always do.

At the end of the day, you choose to buy a season ticket because you know you and your kids want to go to every game. Buying an ST guarantees this.

Kids for a £1 will only be available on around 2000 seats in the South Stand, this ticket only guarantees them entry for one game.

So what would you rather, a hassle free season knowing you can get in every game on having to sit on the phone to possibly get tickets for the £1 games but having the potential of a wasted morning and disappointed kids at the end of it.

Went into Asda this morning and got fillet steak for £4.99.

Just went past the counter half hour ago and its now £1.99.

I bought Zoo Tycoon on the DS for £19.99 last week for my daughter - went to game tonight and noticed its £14.99 and buy one get one free.

Seeing a pattern?

It might not be a lot of money to you but to many other STH, including me, it's a small fortune. Thus my daugher (9 years) couldn't possibly go on a regular basis.

I haven't been able to take advantage of the KFaQ offer as she's not registered as a young royal but I'm taking her to the Sunderland game for six quid.

It is only a £1 though if you are a young royal and this costs you £10 per season. So if you factor that in you are still ahead just - although you did miss out on the lovely little kit bag they get sent!!
