With smallmead closing in October, does anyone know what is going to happen about match day parking there?

We now are allowed to park in the safe backstreets of Whitley.

It depends who actually runs the speedway parking. If it's the people who own the site, then it shouldn't matter a bit if there's no speedway taking place - not unless they intend to send the diggers in the very next day.

Work isn't supposed to start until next year and that means the racers miss next season as a result according to 107 today.

Prices will still be fixed at around the £8 mark. It's way too much of a money earner to be sat gathering potholes and dust.

That's probably why the Speedway is going. Knock down the stadium and you can get extra cars in, giving a higher income than they get from the Speedway and Dogs.

IIRC it was £2 when the Madejski opened.

That is so ridiculous, good thing I made the decision to come up by train instead, so I can enjoy a beer after the game!

Free parking - never.

Villa friendly was £8. Even if this was banded as a premium game as in last seasons price banding, it might still cost £5-£8.
The only way t would ever be cheaper is if here was stiff competition in nthe area. Sadly this is not the case. Sometimes when i cannot be arsed, i park at the ex-brother inlaws but this involves a half hour walk. Sadly i'm usually a lazy git and so i opt of the more expensive route. I car share so split the difference on the price of parking.
