66DD Ticket hasn't arrived yet - I know it's only Wednesday, but even so the expectation that the postie isn't going to deliver it is stressing.

BTW - Are the car parks free on Saturday or is the club charging?

Free on Saturday yes but £100 on Sunday

Craig Mortimer will be there with a money belt - just give it to him.

Not a clue. I've been told there are a good number of car-parks close to the stadium with lots of stewards around. I'm going to get there early because I've haven't got a clue about the area or where to park.

Maybe it's time this thread retire to the Hall of Fame with it's head held high?! Have we covered everything?

Returning to the real issue now that those keen on getting to 100 pages have had their kick!

This morning I had the dubious pleasure of hearing a recording of Craig Mortimer's 'explanation' to BBCRB.

Astoundingly the club still appear to be blaming all of the problems on the extra demand caused by the free coach travel. The most worrying thing about this is that until they acknowledge that regardless of (rather than due to) the offer of free coach travel, the number of tickets requested was always going to be way too low, they are just as likely to make the same mistake again.

The other thing the club still need to be taken to task for revolves around Mr Mortimer himself i.e. the woeful lack of communication/information throughout this sorry saga, particularly once the tickets went on sale.

Why weren't any updates on ticket sales provided on Monday? Even if the club had run out of pre-ordered capacity on the Official Website (a joke in itself) there were plenty of other forms of media open to them e.g. Evening Post, 107FM, BBCRB, Twitter, Facebook, text, email. The club are only too quick to use these to communicate with us when they have something they want to sell, so why not use them on Monday? The absence of any information from the club naturally led to the vacuum being filled by rumour, speculation and plain false information.

Was anyone from the club monitoring ticket sales through Monday night into Tuesday morning when the manic stampede took place due to the ridiculous banding? If not, why not? Why did the OS site not announce that all tickets had been sold until way after 9.00am on Tuesday morning when people had already made their way to the ticket office in the hope of buying ticktets? Did no one at the club feel like an early morning start? If the Official Website once again couldn't be updated (why the hell not?) then why weren't the other forms of media, that I have already referred to, utilised?

Whilst there was a message on the Ticket Office phonelines, why did the club feel it was appropriate to use the words 'Please be aware that all tickets for the Manchester City game are now sold' rather than 'We are very sorry but all tickets for Manchester City have now been sold'? It would seem the club don't feel that there is anything to say sorry for, something supported by the stark absence of words like 'sorry' and 'apologise' from subsequent statements and explanations forthcoming from the club.

To me, Mortimer's 'explanation' was very similar to those issued by slimeball politicians i.e. something went wrong but it's not my/our fault (we decided on the ticket numbers before someone else decided to offer free coach travel) so don't expect us to say sorry.

Reading FC, just what the hell is wrong with the word Sorry?

I'd rather we just run through the different strands of this thread again. I'm not sure we've covered this off in sufficient detail. 8)

I agree RoyalBlue, it's worrying that the club seem to have failed to learn from previous points banding issues and still seem incapable of seeing their mistakes this time round.

On the back of the Season Ticket cock-up (if not the policy but the reasoning presented) it didn't put the powers that be and Mortimer in a good light and does little to make me reassess my decision not to renew my ST because of the direction the club are moving in.

LeicsRoyal. Have you doubled your post count just on this thread alone?
