Einstein agogo great.. more kids wasting valuable seats.. lets face it they haven't got the attention span to last 5 mins let alone an hour and a half..most of them sit reading "heat" and texting their mates sitting next to them , plus they get up for 2 litres of coke every five minutes..and that's just the girls..actually it's just the girls..maybe girls junior season ticket should be 800 quid or something to deter only but the richest folk

There are two girls at the front of B17 that are on there phones etc. all game, not even watching the match.

Stranded It can be justified as we've sold 18,000 of them.
Yes, because people who have spent 20 years following Reading were not about to say 'Maybe I'll skip this season as the prices have got so high'. RFC knew this and have taken full advantage of it. Where were the offers of renewing tickets for the same price before the season was up 'incase Reading get promoted'? The year they know we will the offer disappears because they know this is what the fans have been dreaming about and WILL pay the money. Does that make it right though?

Work out total gate receipts, not the price of individual seats, as that is what the club has to anicipate...

Well I hope you've learnt your lesson! Dont do it again!!

... and I wouldn't change things for the world. They probably cost me more than a season ticket a year but I get the enjoyment back 24/7 and not once every three or four years when we get promotion

Where's the vomit emoticon?...

I thought the idea of increasing ST prices was that we could strengthen the squad. So why have we only bought players :?

What were you thinking we'd buy? Maybe a 3 piece suite?

Wycombe Royal As I said, that is in the family section, so you would also need to buy concession tickets to be able to go in there. The next cheapest is £325 in one of the corners of the stadium, then £475 to be at either end of one of the stands, and then prices continue upwards as you go towards the centre of the stands ending up at £550 for the most expensive. But despite these relatively cheap prices they haven't sold out.

We haven't sold out either yet have we?

Although I think the ST's are priced too high I can understand why the club did it. I don't really agree with it though and I can see them having to reduce the prices a little over the next few years, even when we stay up.

The novelty value of Reading being in the Premiership has helped them over inflate the price. Once we've all been there and bought the t-shirt (purely for the royalty points mind) I think demand will gradually fall.

I think I read that Charlton have actually had to reduce this seasons prices because of a similar shift in demand/expectations.

I didn't say we had. My point was that even WITH cheaper prices they haven't sold out.

You wait till the new ST holders at the front of the stands get caught in the rain!!

FWIW, I would have made the Upper west a bit dearer.

Only if you also point out that cost of living is a lot higher than most other places too.

Have we? We're still encouraging applications I believe. It can only be justified in pure Premiership/Capitalist stuff the loyal/less well off fans terms. As for kids, who needs them?!

Wycombe Royal After looking at just two other clubs, Portmouth's cheapest is the same as ours whilst at Chelsea only a ticket in the family section is cheaper - the next price up is over £800.

Most clubs have a higher capacity though so will still get more than money than us despite a slightly cheaper price.

Comparisons really need to be made with clubs with similar capacities, like Portsmouth, to see if ours are too expensive.
Portsmouth's capacity is @17% less than ours!

Vicarage Rd is also smaller than the Mad Stad and they've kept last season's prices (for existing ST holders), which are substantially less than ours.

I trust you are joking - if not; read on!

Come and say that to my daughter and she'll kick your balls right up through your mouth!

What's more her footballing skills/knowledge are probably greater than yours too!

Yes Portsmouth's capacity is less than ours and their facilities are worse than ours.

As for Watford - that is what they chose to do. It remains to be seen how their finances pan out or what their current wage bill is in comparison to ours (a fair bit lower I would guess). As with Portsmouth we also have better facilities.
