Huntley & Palmer 24 or 48 hours cancellation notice on hotels usually with no penalty

It is usually. But the "Quality Hotel" charges 30 odd quid for cancellations. And it wasn't mentioned when booking on-line till right at the end.

Just over 100 tickets available for Newcastle now, fantastic support/turnout.

Out of an allocation of how many?

I know a newcastle season ticket holde and he always bangs on about how the only clubs to sell their allocations are Liverpool, Man Utd, Tottenham and Sunderland.

Would be mighty impressive if we got close to that.

More like 1,100 which is still an impressive figure for a Wednesday night.

This is slightly worrying. The higher the away following, the more likelihood there is of day-tripping tosspots being in attendance.

Lads on the piss only at this game, please.

Although I think that doesn't apply as much as for the Arsenal game. Don't forget that last year's Toon game was midweek in December (so a lot harder for people to get time off work for). I don't think Saturday will disappoint.

The official away attendance for the Newcastle game last season was 1,686

We only took fewer fans than that to 4 PL games last season (Bolton, Everton, Boro & Wigan).

http://www.squelchy.co.uk/attendances0607.htm

The average away attendance last season was 2,337
Highest = 3,563 (Fulham)
Lowest = 1,440 (Wigan)

So far this season the average is 1,363
Highest = 2,859 (Fulham)
Lowest - 505 (Boro)

Boro 06/07 - 1,481
Boro 07/08 - 505

That's one hell of an indication of how many AST holders we had last season compared to this one

IIRC there were just over 900 AST holder last season, compared to a couple of hundred max this season.

:lol: :lol: Longest away trip we can make in the Premier League - an absolute minimum 12 hour round-trip if you're starting from the home town, day-tripping tosspots are one group that won't be attending.

Now lads-on-the-piss tosspots...that's another thought altogether.

900 ASTs and yet I ended up getting allocated a seat next to the same bloke every week

Er, that's because they were sent out in the order the AST's were listed on their records...if Joe Bloggs was above you on the list, you got a seat next to Joe Bloggs every away game...well, we certainly did anyway...

Yep, which worked out quite well for me as a mate ended up sat on the same row nearly every game.
