Bit torn by this as never been to PNE and have the weekend off. Tempted to also book a hotel for the night.

GF is away that weekend so I could instead have the house to myself

No brainer isn't it, Bobby?

Why enjoy having a nice warm house to yourself, having a few mates rounds and cracking open some beers when you could be sat in minus degrees in Lancashire's finest watching us slip further into mid-table obscurity?

Book the hotel!!

Haha, having looked up what the Preston night life is, I'm now more tempted to snuggle up at home with a crate full of beers and an Indian take away watching all the 900+ channels on Sky. I've not done this for at least 2 weeks now so starting to miss it

Or there's always Lytham, which is where I'll be headed should I make the trip up...

Preston's night life isn't too bad. Been there once and had a good night and have a mate in Uni up there who says it's a good laugh.

Had a really decent night out in Liverpool when we first went up. Thanks for the offer Pepe... I will have to have a think as I'm going to Rome this month and also Forest away.

Just looked up Lytham - looks like a decent place

I guess I'm just used to the glitz and glamour of Reading's nights out

You really notice the economic disparity between north and south England when you go to places like Preston.

Nice enough club and ground though otherwise.

Going to see an average football team and an average band in one weekend. Top stuff.

I'd say Preston were below average for this league.

What would be your idea of a good band then mate?

Defintely in for this. I hate Preston. With a passion.

Those looking for a night out afterwards, why not try the proper North West, Lancaster and Morecambe. Such a lovely place.
