Port Vale Away

by Stranded » 25 Jul 2025 10:29

Vale have just announced that, as a thank you for the support Reading fans gave to help fund the John Rudge statue, all tickets for the match there in February will cost just a tenner, with all kids going for free,

Nice touch.

Nice one.
Was planning to go to this one anyway, bit of class.

What a great gesture. Hopefully we reciprocate with some sort of offer for travelling Vale fans as well. £10 might be too much of a financial hit for us to take, but a discounted price would be good. They absolutely didn't have to do that.

Speaking about the news, Chief Executive Matt Hancock said: "We're really pleased to be able to confirm this ticket offer in plenty of time, ahead of the start of our League One season.

So that's what he's doing now...

What a superb gesture. Port Vale's a bit of an underrated away day. Nice ground and the Bulls Head is a cracking Titanic pub.

Don't currently have anything planned for that date so certainly looks like I'll be IN for this one.

It was great in there last year.

I'm not sure Port Vale have got this right, we contributed to their statue as the match was abandoned and their fans made the expensive trip for nothing (and then lost the reschuled match). They owe us nothing.

i did chip in a tenner, but their away support would have each spent a whole lot more than that.

Very much hope Rod and Todd make a similar gesture.

It’s a good-will gesture which will also be enjoyed by the home fans.
