Trouble in Y25/Y26...again...take2

by Sharpy » 23 Dec 2007 17:26

things got a tad heated up at the top of y25 again yesterday after sunderland scored. reading fan with a sunderland supporting mate i believe, someone took exception and twatted his mate. reading fan stodd up for his mate and squared upto the bloke who hit his mate. everyone up on their feet around and people all over the shop shouting "get the twat out etc". the reading fan who brought his mate along by this time is mightly cheesed off and tries to climb up 5 rows of seats to have a row with some blokes near me.

Yep, I saw this kick off...

The Reading fan was so infuriated that he took his coat/jumpers off to show he had RFC colours on..

If you're taking your opposition supporting mate to footy (in the home end) you should really tell them to keep their mouths shut if they score.

Saves a whole lot of potential problems.

after game was abit tasty too down the front, with mackem fans trying to jump over.

That's not the moral of the story.

The moral is, don't go to football if you're not mature enough to watch the game in a civilised manner.

I've brought my friend who supports Liverpool to the home match against them last season, and the away match last season, both in the Reading end. No trouble, very quiet, didn't celebrate any goals.

As has been said about 320 million times, it's all about being sensible.

Trying to jump over what? The three foot high advertising boards? They obviously weren't trying very hard.

Or perhaps they were just posturing idiots?

Sharpy/TinRib you sit v. nr me then. nice to know. bloke who was chucked out after all the shouting, usually brings his young kid and this seemed totally out of character, his Mackem mate sloped off before it got heated though.

There were 2 women in the south/west divide that celebrated their goal. when hunt scored, i celebrated my turning round towards them and just shouting random chants and Hunts name over and over again.

At the final whistle i just cheered and shouted at them. funnily enough they on purposly ignored me and just clapped the Sunderland players. If they would've looked at me, then i probably would've shut up and turned around.

Gets back all the sunderland fans who jeered me when we lost up there a few season back 2-0 and when Dillon was caretaker manager.

Why is it only football that has this problem?

I've been to plenty of RL grounds up and down the country and been perfectly welcome to stand in the home end and celebrate when my lot score. Never had an ounce of trouble. Normally leads to banter and a good laugh.

Maybe football fans should just grow up and realise that it's only a game.

Whether the bloke next to me is wearing a Reading, Sunderland or Histon shirt shouldn't make the slightest bit of difference.

This has been happening for 40 years. If some dumfcuk goes in the home end to support the away team, he shouldn't really be surprised at the reaction.
