Remember the Leciester match back in the championship that got called off during play? What if the weather deteriorates to an extent where there's terrential rain and the surface is unplayable - will the game still be on...?

That was when there were draininage problems because of compacted roots or something like that - and I think a broken drain. The re-laid pitch shouldn't suffer from that sort of thing.

cheeryoleary Andy West this morning:
"Leave earlier because it's an evening game and it WILL take you longer to get to the ground"
Stagecoach Buses timetabled pickup from Winnersh...... 1915 (leaving 45 minutes for me to get there and sit down)
Normal Saturday departure time is 1345 (leaving 1 hour and 15 minutes)
How does that work?

weybridgewanderer Not a typo, the are scheduled to arrive 30 minutes before kick off mid week but an hour before kick off ona staurday
They generally do not allow for any extra traffic in the journey time

Gloria Gooner When they relaid the pitch, they put a special plastic grass-type substance in with the seed for the regular grass, which helps with the drainage and helps prevent damage.
