Should they give da whole of the S Stand 2 visiting fans

by RTFC Drummer » 23 May 2008 16:21

I have been thinking about how the atmosphere could be improved at Mad Stand. This club should give the whole of the South Stand to the visiting supporters. This would then create a great atmosphere with a lot of away fans chanting and singing to get behind their team. Then the royals fans would have to respond by being louder and chanting no matter what and this would create a dream of an atmosphere for once at Mad Stand.

How many teams in the CCC would sell enough tickets in the South Stand to justify giving them the whole area?

A singing area might be worth looking at.

The atmosphere does worry me at Madejski stadium as there are two stands what are not vocal the other 2 only sing when they are winning.

in our two years in the prem i only went to 4 away grounds

villa, fulham, manu, and newcastle- a pretty good cross section of the prem in terms of crowds and success etc
and you will be flabberghasted to learn that they also only sang when they were winning

Well I am not sure, I think in some cases you need the drummer to lift the crowd and start them of chanting but sometimes it can overpower the singing and just get on dam nerves like the Blackburn Rovers drummer. What you need a mixture is a trumpet player/drummer and a standing area then the place would be electric.

This is me at Scours Lane drumming no matter what the score is
