Beard Day!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCmbFPkXA0M

Come on, someone must still be in touch with the legends that sorted this and got the band involved.

Get it done guys

Bring back Beard Day! The only time it's worth going to the Mad House a season! 8)

Because it's fun, it's something that arose spontaneously from within the supporters, it's something that's uniquely Reading and it's something quite different to coprorate-football 2009-style.

You have to have a beard on the day. It's the law and it has to be in keeping with the designated theme - e.g. Middle Eastern prophets.

Obviously in post 9/11 world we'd all be shot leaving the R&T.

Because we like Bill Oddie and think there should be a national Bill Oddie day, the man is a genius and is not appreciated enough.

One day the club will get him along as a guest and he'll do the golden gamble draw and the place will come alive.

Rub that beard....

I met Bill Oddie once in Bournemouth back in 2000 at a LARAC annual presentation night. Top man! He was walking out of the lift in this shite hotel as I was about to walk in. I said something banal like "oxf*rd, it's Bill Oddie". He said "Oh yes, so it is". I sarcastically eresponded by telling im that he was very funny and made me laugh... 25 years previously.

IN

When expectation was low, and the fans were high.

Used to love the Beard Band and the Beardies...... totally confusing the fu3k out of the opposition fans and their players,

A great reintroduction would be the WBA home game, they are always up (and boing down) for a laugh.
