You don't think its disrespectful to go to someone else's house and watch football in a different room while your kid is there for their kid's birthday party? It isn't about asking beforehand :|

Of course it’s not disrespectful.

I’ve been to numerous parties that clashed with big sporting events and no-one has ever had a problem with the Dads (and occasional Mums) watching whatever it was. In fact they usually set up a TV / room specifically to cater for it.

In fact I’d suggest it’s disrespectful NOT to do that.

Why are you entertaining him Hendo? You're way better than that. Ignore the little fantasist.

Which of those teams would you say have a "good" strike force?

Germany and Netherlands for absolute sure.

Bale and Moore are no joke

Sweden have 4 goals, Denmark have 5

Germany would rather play without a recognised striker than play either Werner or Volland.

Apart from Depay, I think the Dutch are very hit and miss upfront

I don't think Moore would give any of our defenders any trouble, they are all quite capable of dealing with a big lump upfront.

Didn’t work too badly for City did it? Kept Aguero and Jesus on the bench and started with KDB as a false nine instead - scored plenty of goals. Obviously relies on goals from around the pitch, but 6 goals in 3 games isn’t bad considering their group was the most difficult

Thought Depay was also fairly renowned for being hit and miss? Granted, may have been based on his United days and he may have improved a lot since then but even so, think he’s done some very good but also dubious things this tournament - wasn’t it him that missed the open goal?

Thought Dykes got the better of our defence and would say Moore is a better striker than Dykes and more of a handful. In saying that, Maguire (hopefully) will be back now who’s more equipped to deal with strikers like that rather than Mings so hopefully you’re right!

Do us all a favour and ignore each other the pair of you. The last thing we need is you two going at each other all over the board.

You're at least trying OMA, but learn from the past a bit better, totally ignore him and don't refer to people as 'it'.

Dd stfu.

Rumours going round that Grealish and Saka will be dropped tomorrow for Foden and Mount, despite the latter's training situation. If true, Southgate has to win otherwise the backlash will rightly be apoplectic.

That wouldn't make much sense.

We can expect Germany to match, if not over match, us in possession so we need to be able to break well. That means taking people on not lots of intricate passing around a packed defence.

Saka has pace and drive and Grealish commits players. Mount in particular has generally played slower and more patient... Foden has tried to make things happen more so don't mind him as much it it was for Grealish.

I'd be more likely to drop Kane for one of them than Saka, or one of Rice or Phillips for Henderson.

Don't see much reason to change it personally, possibly Henderson in for Rice is the only change I'd make. Southgate loves Mount though and is too cautious to risk playing the inexperienced Saka so can see him making the changes.

Believe this is the first time we’ll have a full squad (probably missing an injury or something) but will be interesting to see who misses out of the entire squad

Think White/Coady/Sancho and Calvert Lewin will be the main ones in danger, probably won’t go down too well

Think this will be a game for Rice actually - proper holding midfielder who can hopefully block out Germany trying to play between the lines. Don’t think Henderson or Phillips are as good as that at Rice is

Would then go with Henderson over Phillips but Phillips played well against a Croatia side who pressed fairly high and gave away more space so either really

Dropping Saka really is strange, will backfire hugely if it doesn’t work (assuming the “leak” is correct)
Don’t worry though, we’ll have Rashford to save the day :?

What sort of people won’t have the football on? Is the man of the house not into it.

Poor form to throw a party on a day of a big game and not cater for anyone who wants to watch it.

And one year olds birthday parties are bullshit. I’d just not go if it was going to be like that.
