Spartan Premier league side St Panteleimon have ceased to exist with immediate effect- the reason they say is that the financial demands of step 5 football are unsustainable.

Royals and Racers Spartan Premier league side St Panteleimon have ceased to exist with immediate effect- the reason they say is that the financial demands of step 5 football are unsustainable.

They used to be very good a few years back

They had a rivalry with another team from that area who used to be a Sunday league team and won the fa sunday cup I think 2 years in a row

Name escapes me now but they were also a Greek Cypriot team and now they play in spartan Midlands league or something

Edit:
(New salamis is their name)

Friday 29th March

NAT
Dorking Wanderers 0-2 Bromley
Maidenhead United 4-0 Aldershot Town 2 early goals from Clerima and two pens from Adams 2nd half
– both incidents were accompanied by Red Cards for the Sh!ts. Below them three of the bottom four lose
– gap back to B.Wood now 4 points.

Oxford City 1-0 Wealdstone ‘City’ win but are already down
Woking 0-1 Eastleigh
NATN
Banbury United P-P Hereford
Gloucester City 1-1 Brackley Town
NATS – not quite sure how I f£(&ed up the B/H review for this particular division – still had last weeks games.
– probably ongoing tech issues, causing me to rush the preview rather - soz
- now borrowing another machine but until I source a proper replacement timings/content of updates could be rather patchy/sporadic.

Farnborough P-P Chippenham
Truro 3-2 Slough Town -

SLP-C
Hitchin Town 0-2 Needham Market
SLP-S
Basingstoke Town 3-0 Gosport Borough - att 952 all three goals beyond the hour mark - Bradley Wilson and 2 from Daniel Rowe
Chesham United 1-0 Hayes & Yeading United att 1,353 'Generals' have a 17 pt lead with Gosport's defeat at Winklebury above
- probably need one more win to secure the title.

Hungerford Town 3-1 Bracknell Town - att just under 500 - 'Crusaders' led 2-0 at the break

HELL- P
Highworth Town 2-1 Westfields

Slough Town Cup Final
Singh Sabha Slough 1-2 Old Windsor
....got to this - played at Burnham - approx 400 plus here.
-was a good standard and played in fairly good spirit pitted 2nd vs 3rd in the East Berks Premier

.... and in response to the SSS query above :
- not disbanded - they took some time out (possibly 'diplomatic') from Sat football for 22/23. They'd have run foul of the League disciplinary body on occasions. Still entered Sunday League (Thames Valley Sunday - also predominantly East Baaarks clubs) and plenty of 'local' Cups: most of which they won - STCC - Ascot Fielden and Berks & Bucks Sunday Trophy.

- behavior is no worse than plenty of other local clubs. Accounts exist of them getting some fairly 'rough' treatment from opponents AND officials - I witnessed this personally at an EBFL game a couple of seasons back. The linesman turned up 15 mins late and then virtually went to war on them (as per "f£(k EFL" chants at our place) much to the hilarity of the other side who, no credit to them, started to play on it

Results :

Easter Saturday 30th March

FAV S-F 1st Legs
Romford 2-2 Lincoln Utd

SLP-C
AFC Sudbury 2-4 St Ives Town
Leiston 3-1 Berkhamsted
Stamford 1-2 Royston Town
SLP-S
Hanwell Town 2-0 Didcot Town - ‘Diddy’ relegated :(
Hendon 4-5 Beaconsfield Town
Swindon Supermarine 3-3 Salisbury – ‘marine’s 90’ leveller ensures Chesham now only need a point from final 5 games to be champions – barring a freak GD swing.
Could be academic should they win at relegation threatened Harrow on Monday

Winchester City 1-1 Dorchester Town
SL1-C
Kings Langley 4-2 Kidlington
North Leigh 0-3 Biggleswade – alarming slump has no end: now lost 9 successive games since their ‘grading failure’ conceding 32 goals
Thame United 1-3 Ware

IL1-SC
Ashford Town (Middx) 0-1 Thatcham Town
Badshot Lea
0-2 Southall
Chertsey Town
1-1 Westfield – att 794 leaders held but are 10 points clear with 5 games remaining
Chipstead 0-5 Binfield ‘Moles’ with a huge win at the side immediately above them
– now just 7 pts behind the ‘Chips’ & potential safety, with 8 games left – have three games in hand too
- 5 different goalscorers including much travelled marksman Mitch Parker
- No game for them tomorrow - Travel to Baggy Lea on Tuesday evening

Guernsey 2-4 Ascot United
Leatherhead 5-1 South Park (Reigate)
Marlow 4-1 Corinthian-Casuals – att 215 – ‘Blues’ 3 up inside 20’ in comfortable win against the bottom side
– two goals each from Rogalski and Tarpey

Uxbridge 4-0 Sutton Common Rovers

CCL-PN
Burnham 0-2 Bedfont Sports
Chalfont St Peter P-P Reading City

Windsor 1-1 Molesey
Woodley United P-P Holmer Green
Yateley United
0-2 Oxhey Jets

HELL-1
Kidlington Res 4-1 FC Bristol
Moreton Rangers 0-4 Abingdon United
- After looking doomed a couple of weeks back with no games left, some astonishingly bad performances by those just below them, now mean Long Crendon might be safe.
- Is rather dependent upon how many places are deemed liable to relegation but heavy defeats for Moreton above and Chipping Sodbury ensures LC cannot finish last.
- They did contribute to their own survival of course with 4 wins and a draw in their final 7 games.
- Kiddy Ressies big win above, probably ensures survival for them too

SSM-P
Tring Athletic 5-0 Aylesbury Vale Dynamos – fixture reversed to Tring, due to further flooding

WESS-P
Andover New Street 0-3 Laverstock & Ford - att 243
Christchurch 2-3 Petersfield Town
- goals ‘raining’ again in this division: 47 in 10 games
- Portchester bt Fareham 6-2 crowd 823
- Moneyfields, currently 'sharing' at Chichester, head the leading pack by 2 pts with games in hand from Stoneham, who they beat 2-0 yesterday, then Shaftesbury & Portch.
- Brockenhurst are a distance back in the last PO spot just ahead of Baffins, Portland, Lav & Ford & Cowes Sports

WESS-1
Alresford Town 6-1 Whitchurch United
Cove
1-1 Ash United

Results Easter Monday 1st April

NAT
Aldershot Town 1-1 Dorking Wanderers
Barnet 3-1 Oxford City
Bromley 1-1 Woking
Eastleigh 2-3 Maidenhead United
Wealdstone 0-1 Solihull Moors
NATN
Bishop's Stortford 3-1 Banbury United – poor result at already relegated bottom club
– ‘Puritans’ almost certain to drop with them now – 10 points from safety with only 6 games remaining.

Brackley Town 3-0 Tamworth – att 1,731 approx 750 away fans – segregated
- Got to this for my 2nd B/H game
- on the day the ‘Lambs’ could have sealed the title with a point. ‘Saints’ hadn’t read their script and tore them to pieces – could have been far more than three – so rather humbling for the visitors but they have half doz. games to get the single point they need to finish top.
- Saints almost certain to be bound for the POs again and would prefer to finish 2nd or 3rd to avoid the extra PO game.
Bought my ticket on-line whilst at my morning game but was initially made to queue with the away fans until I found a co-operative steward and pointed out I was a (sort of) neutral – so was admitted without any queueing to the home end. Biggest up-side here other than it not being cramped was a Bar and seating.
First re-visit here for about 6 or 7 years I think – have done a lot to the ground to maintain their status at STEP02 – have rebuilt the (burnt down) bar completely and added two seated stands opposite now.

NATS
Slough Town 2-2 St Albans City
Tonbridge Angels 1-2 Farnborough

SLP-C
Berkhamsted 1-2 Hitchin Town – Berko relegated some time back – strange for a side that dominated in it’s promotion season the year before?
Long Eaton down with them: then possibly one from a number of clubs skirted around Brum - but equally likely to be AFC Sudbury or Hitchin

Needham Market 3-0 AFC Sudbury
Royston Town 4-2 Leiston
St Ives Town 1-4 Stamford
Stratford Town 2-0 Kettering Town
SLP-S
AFC Totton 3-0 Walton & Hersham
Beaconsfield Town v Hanwell Town -missed the switch to Tue night
Bracknell Town 5-1 Sholing
Didcot Town 0-2 Swindon Supermarine
Gosport Borough 2-1 Winchester City att 1,137 – ‘Borough’ grab a come-back win with two goals in the last 10’
Harrow Borough 1-4 Chesham United – ‘Generals’ lift the title in some style
Hayes & Yeading United 0-0 Hendon
Merthyr Town 3-0 Hungerford Town
Plymouth Parkway 1-0 Poole Town
Salisbury 2-1 Basingstoke Town att 1,383
SL1-C
Aylesbury United 1-2 Thame United
Kidlington
4-2 North Leigh – both Thame and Kiddy hop over Kempston Rovers (nr Bedford) who now occupy the one relegation spot.
The ‘Ducks’ are far from safe too, only 6 points separate the four clubs. They travel to Kidlington in midweek.

IL1-SC
Ascot United 2-2 Uxbridge
Corinthian-Casuals 2-3 Leatherhead
Hanworth Villa P-P Ashford Town (Middx) – late Inspection failure
Hartley Wintney P-P Marlow - even later call off – Heavens opened as they warmed up apparently?
South Park (Reigate) 2-1 Chipstead
Southall 2-1 Northwood
Sutton Common Rovers 1-2 Raynes Park Vale
Thatcham Town 1-1 Chertsey Town
Westfield
2-0 Metropolitan Police

CCL-PN

Reading City v Flackwell Heath
Wokingham & Emmbrook v Milton United
CCL-PS
Tadley Calleva v Alton
Balham v AFC Croydon Athletic

CCL-1
Amersham Town 3-1 London Colney - att 122
- this was my first match of the 'holiday' double.
- Town crowned Champions with a fairly comfortable win over strugglers L.Colney

Bedfont 2-2 Brook House
Eversley & California 1-0 Windsor
Molesey 1-2 FC Deportivo Galicia
Spartans Youth 2-0 Hillingdon Borough
Yateley United 1-2 Westside
Langley 2-1 Woodley United

HELL- P
Wantage Town 2-1 Worcester City –att 302 - ‘Freds’ made the Vase semi-finalists and Champions-elect work hard

- Sadly they only have 3 games left and are still 5 points adrift of Lydney

Four of Clubs!! Visit to Brackley and you didn't call in! I'd have bought you a pint!

Glad you liked it. By far the best performance of the year. And a good crowd to see it. Tamworth looked very average in comparison.

Yes play offs look likely, again. It will be the 7th year in a row...

There are those who think Brackley would rather stay down and deliberately don't get through the play offs. Not true as far as I know, but let's just say we're not holding our breath for success

I have wondered if it might be me!

I still enter any play offs with expectation but mainly dread!

I spose if it does go under, you cd nip round the corner and try to squeeze into Babbs Mead for Farnham's post-championship game vs Cobham?
..assuming that's not off ....

Baggy Lea Is one if the nicer 'new builds' with plenty of scope to grow too.
Bar is small but cosy enough... I like the home side but hoping the 'Moles' keep their faint survival hopes alive. :)

I was bound for Holmer G v Bagshot but that's OFF - think HG still have 10 games to go and sit rooted in a relegation spot along with the other other 'Baggies'.

Ta for filling in my omissions above too I really need a new machine..... :|

Soz RnR ...not too surprised but just read BOTH games called off by Match officials in the last few minutes....

Four Of Clubs Results Easter Monday 1st April

CCL-PN
Ardley United v Risborough Rangers
Bedfont Sports v Virginia Water
Edgware & Kingsbury v Wembley
Egham Town v Rayners Lane
Harefield United v North Greenford United
Reading City v Flackwell Heath
Wokingham & Emmbrook v Milton United
CCL-PS
Tadley Calleva v Alton
Balham v AFC Croydon Athletic

CCL-1
Amersham Town 3-1 London Colney - att 122
- this was my first match of the 'holiday' double.
- Town crowned Champions with a fairly comfortable win over strugglers L.Colney

Bedfont 2-2 Brook House
Eversley & California 1-0 Windsor
Molesey 1-2 FC Deportivo Galicia
Spartans Youth 2-0 Hillingdon Borough
Yateley United 1-2 Westside
Langley 2-1 Woodley United

HELL- P
Wantage Town 2-1 Worcester City –att 302 - ‘Freds’ made the Vase semi-finalists and Champions-elect work hard
– indeed held a shock lead at the break. Both sides missed from the spot 2nd half too!

Well I guess not everyone relishes the prospect of meeting up with a faceless internet person. Fair enough.

Plymouth Parkway have to play 8 games over the next 16 days. 5 of them are at home. Good chance tonight's game will be called off. I imagine they will be very careful in players they pick for these games to ensure they get the points needed to stay up.
