If Young hadn't have been so theatrical about it I think that would've been given. Had plenty of his shirt

Got fouled by both CBs. They should both have been sent off.

Also another classic example of why I don't like VAR being used for these kinds of incidents

You can read that incident either way and I would understand the ref coming to either decision so why not just stick with what the ref initially thought and not delay the game for so long

Maguire's defending for Everton's 2nd was pure comedy

Should have been a penalty. Young had his shirt pulled twice giving him the excuse to fall over. Pulling shirts in the penalty area is foul play, therefore it's a penalty.

Agree with the MotD people who asked why VAR was even involved, as it's not a clear and obvious error. They also pointed out the people on VAR seemed to want the referee to change his decision as they only provided him with the images that made it most look like Young was being a chancer.

Man City appear to be giving Liverpool the title.

Christ they’re dull.

Most boring title race ever, effectively over before the end of February. Liverpool are head and shoulders above anything else out there.

I can't remember a shittier title/relegation race as this. The teams chasing the cl places all look ropey as f*ck.
Klopp must be kicking himself for leaving. He would have walked this.....meanwhile Slot will get the plaudets for winning the title with his team. Will be interesting to see how well slot does when he has to replace those consistent performers who may leave.

Man City won the title by 19 points a few years ago and that was just a procession for months. This did at least feel like there was a whiff of a title race for a while

If 5th place becomes a CL spot, then Fulham in 10th are only 5 points away from a CL place.

That's where the media interest will mostly go for the rest of the season I assume

It really didn't. Liverpool have had the league sewn up since at least Christmas. Chelsea threatened them for a little bit, but they're too young and inconsistent, City too old and inconsistent, Arsenal haven't got a goalscorer and are also inconsistent.

Klopp must be gutted he missed out on the easiest trophy of his career.

Actually got the feeling Liverpool were very relaxed and playing well within themselves. Excellent refereeing too, none of the Michael “all about me” Oliver complex. Any truth in the rumour of the ‘pool fans singing the “can we play you every week” chant

Liverpool have 11 games left but only 7 of them are at Anfield!

City now dreading Plymouth coming to town :?
