Sanguine
Mr Angry
Sanguine Mo Salah now 5th all-time on his own with 185 PL goals, two behind Andy Cole, and 28 behind Harry Kane in second.

Salah the only real current interest on the all-time goals charts. Vardy (143) is done. Son (127) and Sterling (123) past their best. No other current PL player has more than 100 goals.

If Haaland stays at Man City, he will get close to Shearers record. He is currently on 84 goals in 94 games, 0.89 goals per game.

By contrast, Salah is on 185 in 297 games (includes 2 goals in 13 games for Chelsea) an average of 0.62 goals per game.

Shearer scored 260 in 441; 0.59 goals per game.

Yeah, Haaland the outlier. Kane got 0.65 goals per game, Aguero 0.67.

I'd be amazed though if Haaland stays at City long enough to break the record. He'd have to play another 200 games, so six seasons, just to get there at his current rate of scoring.

Agreed; Another season, maybe 2 at most and then Real Madrid or Barcelona will come calling.

Fun fact. Everton (15th) have the fifth best defence in the Premier League. Last season they finished 15th - with the fourth best defence in the division. They just can't score goals. Just 74 in their last 72 league games.

They should buy Haaland.

They've got Beto who has looked like a beast whenever I've seen him, but only managed 6 goals.

Sutekh Evanilson, sending off all day long. Don’t know who the pillock is on Sky is going on about “he slipped” and shouldn’t be red, it’s still a red card as, whether intended or not, that’s what hit the Utd player and could have broken his leg or worse.

I'd say it's 'red enough'

Apparently not (I've not seen it so have no opinion)

Predictions for the championship playoff and relegation battle?

I reckon:

Bristol City 2-1 Preston
Coventry 1-0 Middlesbrough
Burnley 2-2 Millwall
Sheffield United 3-1 Blackburn

Derby 1-1 Stoke
Plymouth 0-2 Leeds
Portsmouth 1-1 Hull
West Brom 0-0 Luton

5. Bristol City
6. Coventry
7. Millwall
8. Blackburn
9. Middlesbrough

18. Stoke
19. Derby
20. Luton
21. Hull
22. Preston
23. Plymouth

Chelsea play us just before the EL final should be a massively weakened squad

Also, we play Villa after the final, hopefully, we have won it and by losing to Villa, City somehow miss out on CL

Maybe others knew, or maybe it was obvious, but i only just discovered (because I never spent any time thinking about it) that when teams are promoted to the PL they have a PSR disadvantage as the 3 year rolling total includes their non PL seasons

PSR says that PL teams can make a loss of £105M over a rolling 3 year period

PSR says that Championship teams can make a loss of £39M over a rolling 3 year period

So when a team is embarking on its 1st PL season a £61M loss is their limit for that 3 season time period compared to the £105M the established PL clubs get. And if they survive, then in their 2nd season an £83M loss is their limit for that 3 season time period compared to the £105M the established PL clubs get.

Two previous stamps on players faces and now this. One disgusting animal and another thing to be critical of Southgate for, giving this violent entity England caps, he’s not even that good at the game either! Makes Ron Futcher seem saintly.

You have to wonder what referees are on when players with his sort of history take to the field and they don’t take special interest in their antics, esp. with VAR available

Hoping that the FA do call him in for some reckoning - and take into account his previous when defining the punishment.

Jackson should get a red card for that

Deserved, VAR working - for once.
