Snowflake Royal I get it's about 'half-empty modern souless bowls' and maybe rubbish football.

But its just madness to put these sort of perfectly decent stadia at the bottom whilst choosing decrepit terraces, uncomfortable outdated stands and terrible sight lines at obsolescent stadia ahead of them.

It's not 'madness'. It's a personal preference.

And very few grounds have 'decrepit terraces' any more. None at League level.

Regarding numbers, I think I have been to 70-ish of the current 92, more if you could old grounds, and about 130 abroad. My overall total, counting non-league grounds, is a figure that would make people wonder if I have an affliction. Counting all sports, I nudged past 500 this season.

I think numbers are going to slow, simply because I am running out of grounds within a two hour drive that I think are worth going to. I will go further if I am in the mood, but I'm not going to drive for 90 minutes to a ground that's little more than a couple of bus shelters next to the pitch, just get a 'tick'.

I didn't put any of my non-league ones down, but here's three from the West Mids area

*Halesowen - two sides of seats/terraces, the rest a bowl in a dip in the ground, banging real ale pub near the entrance
*Stourbridge - shared with cricket club, so one side opens up to the cricket ground. Big covered terrace behind the goal.
*Alvechurch - literally in a field and on a slope.
