BRO_BOT What sort of numbers is Wirtz gonna have to put up to be considered successful? With a 150M price tag it's gotta be high!

Something like this, which is his 24/25 season vs. Lamine Yamal, and puts him in the same ballpark.

Liverpool will want him to create - only Yamal and Salah created more chances last season. Given Wirtz's assets, I'm interested if Liverpool try to sign a 'proper' striker (notionally to replace Nunez, albeit of course as an upgrade on him). Someone like a Gyokeres would score a million goals playing off Wirtz.

Just been watching some of his YouTube shizzle and he does look good but at 130M I think he has to be prem PotS or it's a bit of a flop.

No doubt Salah will bag another 40 goals and make the rest of the team look fcuking mint! Genuinely, one of the best prem players ever!

Wirtz now confirmed at £100m +£16m in add ons.

He's been talked up as a world-beater since he made his debut at 17. Its a big number but all things considered, I think it represents reasonable value.

Having read Ian Grahame's book about Liverpool's approach to recruitment I feel fairly confident they know what they're doing these days, even if it is a massive wedge

Plus it's going to upset Arsenal fans* I expect so that's a winner

*What doesn't?

Well SecondPlace FC look like they’ll miss out on Zubimendi, who now appears to be Real bound, so are finally attempting to buy a striker by the name of Sexko or something.

Xabi Alonso as boss might be the key there. Zubimendi has long said he models his game on him.

When the shit press quote Utd's signings they say £116M or they use the Euro sum and just change the currency symbol i.e. £136M flop etc

They are already trying to say that Utd fans are turning against Cunha for a miss goal opportunity he had on international duty (MotM btw). The Daily 'pcunting' Mail trawled Twitter until they found someone slagging him (30 followers etc). Not enough :|

They don't tend to get their pants pulled down by anyone. Evan at £100m for Wirtz, £130m for Wirtz and Frimpong in today's market is good business as well as getting £10m for a player with 3 weeks left on his contract who has already signed for the club.

Supposedly all agreed. Sociedad have some tax thing that means they need Arsenal to delay the announcement until July.

Quotes from Zubi and Alonso last week suggested all is not done and Madrid are supposedly launching a late bid to persuade him otherwise….

Like all good transfer deals we’ll just have to wait and see :?

Winston Biscuit Pogback!

I was hoping we'd get a third go of buying him and then letting him go on a free to Juventus
