If multiple claims are made against the person, then the weight of evidence builds up, but it still doesn't mean it's true.

Just went back and reread the OP, think I misread it as 'happening' in the 2010s.

So, no/limited 'evidence' would be available other than various claims/counterclaims etc

If multiple claims are made against the person, then the weight of evidence builds up, but it still doesn't mean it's true.

Witness statements on what they both may have said at the time to other people. Things they may have recorded. Photo records taken of injuries at the time that were kept.

It's not hard to think of plenty of things it could be. You don't get arrested and charged without a more than just an unfoundable allegation.

How do you prove whether consent was given on a current case if you don't have video footage of the incident. Same applies to historical - it's just harder.
