Was looking for which leagues have runaway leaders already and saw that PSV's good form sees them currently on a 12 game winning streak and they are 16 points clear in Eredividie! As it stand they are on track to equal the all time points record

Porto have dropped just 2 points all season. currently 7 points clear.

Eintracht Frankfurt fire Dino Toppmöller after a run of 4 games without a win dents their chances of returning to the Champions League next year.

The issue isn't so much the run but the manner of it with the 3 games after the Xmas break ending 3-3, 2-3, 3-3. With one 3-3 finishing with a last minute Dortmund equaliser and the other with a last minute Frankfurt equaliser.

In 18 games this season, there have been 77 goals in Eintracht games - over 4 goals per game. Going forward, they are often fantastic, defensively, an absolute shitshow - hence the firing.

Roberto De Zerbi resigns from Marseille.

Doing fine in Ligue 1 but went out of the CL this week (after Benfica's last second goal)

Former Athletic Bilbao player Mikel San Jose has won a significant court case in Spain where it ruled in his favour that his back problems can be classed as a disability and the win means he gets a monthly disability benefit payment for life

He had 2 herniated discs aged 21 and continued playing, making 458 club appearances, and 7 national team appearances in his mid 20's, retiring aged 33 in 2022, claiming this retirement was earlier than planned.

Lawyers in Spain arguing that this means any sportsperson who now retires even slightly earlier than they hoped and can get a medical professional to state that the retirement was because of some kind of physical discomfort can claim they have been forced into retirement through disability and can claim disability benefits from the government for life
