Striking is a bit more in the French nature though.

Didn't Anelka retire from the French side before? For those that criticised the FA for giving Capello a two year extension before the WC started the situation in the French squad, with a manager who is on his way out, surely show's why they tried to add some stability at a time when clubs were sniffing around the manager.

Spacey agrees with the French.

Bit of a Spacey moment from Gary Lineker on MOTD yesterday:
"Good news for England - we're not France"

Had a very interesting conversation this morning with a French customer about the national team and he was saying that this has kicked off a big debate in the media and in the streets regarding whether they should have West African players playing for them at all as their patriotism lies elsewhere.

Personally I'd like all sports to tighten up the qualification criteria for their international competitions, but basically that just sounds like the racisim problems the French have in their society coming out in their football.

The French have massive problems, suburb riots led by disgruntled immigrant children, mostly muslims, who are unable or unwilling to integrate with society.
Burning police cars and throwing stones is an everyday occurrance over there.
There is a similar situation in Sweden.

It makes you wonder if multicultural society is such a fantasticly great idea after all.

Works fine here.

French conveniently forgetting* that their best player in years was Algerian (I believe).

*Perhaps because he was white?
