double d Uefas dream would be Barca and Madrid final

It may be but another all Spanish final feels a little dull to me, even if it is a Classico.

Liverpool will score at the Etihad so this tie is all but over. They could actually go on to win the thing.

I think the semis will be the end of the road - it looks like Barca, Bayern or Real Madrid to come. Agreed though that this tie looks done, City are the only side to have scored in more of their games this season than Liverpool. Can't see Ederson keeping a clean sheet.

Madrid had a bad start to the season. They seem to have got their sh+t together. I can't see passed them. Barca's defence will be their undoing.

Maybe, but Messi running at Lovren doesn't bear thinking about.

Where's VAR when you need it

All academic now as Liverpool have a second. Something of a Reading style gift by Man City

I f#cking hate Liverpool. Would have loved City to have turned em over tonight.....but then the city players were c*nts trying to get Mane sent off. Ideal scenario. Madrid in the semis, and if that fails Munich in the final. I couldn't bare them to win it.

I don't particularly like Klopp but obvs h8 Liverpool

They were lucky tonight...would have loved to have seen the game if Sane's goal had been allowed. Would have been a lot more dramatic

BR0B0T was the Sané goal offside?

Came off Milner.

Shades of the Kane goal at Anfield. Apparently the distinction, and why the Kane goal stood, and Sane's was correctly disallowed, was that Lovren's intervention against Spurs was a deliberate attempt to play the ball, which meant that Kane was no longer 'interfering' or in an offside position. The ball deflected off Milner, but there was no deliberate attempt by him to play the ball, therefore Sane remained active, and offisde.

very debatable...

plus Sane was 'never' offside as in...he was onside from the through ball which then comes off two Liverpool players

That explanation would only hold water if Sane had been offside when the original ball came in. He wasn’t.

The only explanation is that between them the officials thought it was the City player that played the ball, not Milner.

It was a balls up, no two ways about it in my mind.

I hate all these teams, so this week has been excellent. It would have been fantastic tonight seeing Real Madrid lose, but it was even better seeing Juventus mess it up at the end with the help of an idiot referee. Hopefully Bayern Munich or Liverpool or Real can oxf*rd up badly or be cheated horribly in the Semis.

A penalty for me, and I can see why Buffon was sent off too. Oliver's standing in the game is growing and I think he got these decisions spot on. Juventus defenders comes through the back of him to reach the ball. And what a leap from Ronaldo to nod the ball back across the box.

Not a massive fan of Pep but seen this line a lot and can't help but find it a crock of crap. If Messi was the key and not Pep then Barca would be defending their 7th straight CL.

They did so well as the one of the two best players in the world worked well with one of the best managers.
