Barry the bird boggler So why don't the FSF start demonstrating/lobbying for something to be done. If there's a groundswell of support at the bottom and the case keeps getting raised time and time again when the FSF talk to the FA and FL then something will have to happen.
Because the groundswell isn't enough to overcome the vested interests at the top - those with money and power hold all the cards, and the vast majority don't give a tinker's cuss about supporters.
The answer has to be a political one, forcing reform onto a game that won't reform itself, despite having had enough chances - hence the DCMS enquiry which has long been campaigned for. FTR, next Tuesday, Dave Boyle, Chief Exec of Supporters Direct (the umbrella body for Supporters' Trusts) and Malcolm Clark, chair of the FSF and the supporters Representative on the FA Council, will give evidence to the DCMS enquiry. Should be a cracker!
