Silver Fox Allardyce is one of the most over-rated managers around and it's only his mates in the media that make people think otherwise, just because the new owners don't know anything about football it doesn't mean they can't see this

prostak Jonathan Wilson reporting that the new board suggested signing Geovani and Kris Boyd, among others, which Allardyce refused to do.
winchester_royal I'd be delighted if I was a Blackburn fan.
Still LOL'ing at Chris Samba playing a load of games up front last year.

Quite rightly. Allardyce is better off out of there if the new owners are intering with team affairs. With nonsense like that and small budgets to improve the squad, Blackburn wont be in the top flight for too much longer.winchester_royal I'd be delighted if I was a Blackburn fan.

He did OK up front though, in particular with being the target man Allardyce likes. Blackburn had a lot of injuries up front at the time, so I can't see what was funny about Samba filling in.
Are Blackburn really going to find a better manager than Allardyce who can produce reasonable Premiership finishes on limited funds? I don't think so.

Mr Angry The Mirror suggested that the new owners were keen on installing a solid professional manager, with a track record of success, and a deep knowledge of the Premier League as the new Manager.
In other words, Diego Maradona!!!!!

Spoke to an unhappy 'ammers fan today; he said his only hope is that Blackburn implode this season rather than next! (I pointed out that they still needed to find 2 other teams even worse than west Ham; he went quiet at that!!). He did say that he wouldn't mind Grant getting the bullet and Big Sam taking over at the Boleyn though......

Why do you hate Football Manager?

Ian Royal Didn't they say the £5m was to be including wages? That's probably less than we spent each season if that's the case.
Seol - £1.5m, Duberry - £800k, Halford - £2.5m = £4.8m
Fae - £2.5m, Cisse - £600k, Bikey - £1m, Rosenior - £1m swap deal?, Marek - £1.4m, Kebe - £400k? = ~£6m+
