Always wondered in these scenarios.... Is he told to stay behind and get sacked in dressing room and told to make his own way home or is he told on the coach......

Or did they all meet back at the hawthorns? Interesting lol.

not really they have won only seven of their 34 Premier League games in 2013, like 20% win percentage. and they spent alot of money on deadline day breaking their transfer record twice within hrs. also their wages are the highest they have ever been so they need results, football is a results buisness and they have not been getting them.
kinda justified if you ask me

No disrespect to West Brom but really the only aim for most teams, outside the top 8 in the Premier League, is just to stay up. I still think Clarke would've pulled them away from the relegation zone if given time. Whilst they have had some disappointing results, they did get 3 points at Old Trafford, held Arsenal at home and were robbed of 3 points at Stamford Bridge.

Considering they finished 8th last season, I can't help but feel Clarke should've been given a little bit longer. Bit of a knee jerk reaction in my opinion.

7 wins in 34 matches is not knee-jerk, it is almost a full calendar year.

They finished 8th last season purely because of their great start. Taking points off the top teams is great but it won't keep you up if you keep losing to your relegation rivals.

Steve Clarck was doing a terrible job at WBA. He deserved to get fired. They will appoint Shane Long as player/manager.

Their fans are obviously speculating already, this quote stood out

" Karl Robinson has had one of the biggest budget's on tier 3 for a while at mk dons and has failed to get promotion !

For it has to be Nigel Adkins, has two promotions under his belt and plays the game the Albion way.

He gave alot of the southampton youngsters a place in his team so at least he trusts youth, and wouldn't leave bera on the bench all the time!"

Pretty much every manager outside the top 6/7 will be recycled every other year. Clubs don't want stability, as seen with the departure of Tony Pulis, they all want growth. Allardyce & Hughton will be out before the end of the season. A bad run next year and Pochettino, Mackay, Poyet, Meulensteen or Hughes would be sacked without hesitation. Only Pardew, Lambert and Bruce can feel relaxed.

Clarke probably deserved a bit longer based on last season. I think the fact he'd struggle to attract players (no homo) in the same way as someone like Di Matteo makes him much more dispensable.

After the game yesterday fans reaction on the radio surprised me. They all wanted him gone but they were sl8ing him for last season too, said Lukaku's success masked terrible tactics and boring football and some people wanted him gone back then

West Brom doing a Charlton and over-rating where they should be-a win at home to Hull next Saturday would see them just below mid-table.
The board and fans should be careful what they wish for.

I wonder if McDermott might be an outside bet.

Why would a PL team looking to be top half hire a manager with less than one season of PL experience where he proved to be a failure?

How many years of experience managing in the PL did Clark have before WBA appointed him?
