Royal Rother The Man Utd contingent have been spectacularly uninspiring again.

Now, presumably that's because one is tired after a long season and the other is not sharp after a 4 week break.

Imagine Rooney playing in the Prem for Bolton. That's the equivalent of what you're watching now. He's being marked out of the game and not getting the quality of possession or supply that he'd get at Utd. He certainly can do better than he is, but he isn't going to beat world class defences on his own.

Why is Terry allowed to play for England, isn't that why FA sacked Cappello ?

Carroll's 1st touch looks much better than Rooney's.

Who'd a thunk it?

Excellent example of why Rooney's struggling just then, no space and 5 Italians on him. Just couldn't find a route to shoot or get it across the edge of the box to the man in space.

Ref really isn't giving us much. Seems to be blowing up fairly easily for Italy though.

Ideal England are lucky that Balotelli is on the pitch, any other striker would have scored by now.

Which goes back to what I was saying about Di Natale. If he was on and had the chances Balotelli's had then England would be on their way home by now.

Well to be fair, I think I'd like to see more of the right post in the England line up rather than Henderson.

It certainly always stands upright to be counted. Bit immobile mind.

Defenders certainly bounce off it.

God I am bored of watching England get knocked out of tournaments on penalties. We may have used up a lot of luck so far but we need a little bit more please....

I'm just bored of watching both of these teams (minus Pirlo of course).

Regardless of the criticisms hurled at English fans....at least it does take 110 mins of domination and a few free kicks to here one solitary 'italia' chant.

Pathetic
