Royal Rother Anyway, setting aside all the pathetic celebrations and shenanigans, I thought Chelsea looked really good.

Need a striker badly, but don't think Aubameyang is the answer though.

Agree,, they look a decent outfit, missing that striker. first spurs goal yesterday was down to Jorginho trying to be too much of a fancy Dan. definitely a row Z candidate.

Absolutely. Been dreaming about Spurs winning the Premier League under the expert stewardship of an imperious Antonio Conte.

That would be a nightmare in my dreams, it won`t happen, but they are a good team even though I don`t like them.

Spurs were awful for 99% of the game but I must admit Conte dragged them back into that. Richarlison coming in, while he didn't do a whole lot, changed it up tactically and Lucas and Perisic were much better than Emerson and Sessegnon. Perisic in particular.

I think there's just something about Stamford Bridge. Spurs can get results regularly at Man City & Liverpool, but there's something about Chelsea.

My Chelsea supporting son has been saying this for years, going back to the days of Drogba.
They have signed many seemingly top class strikers over the years but none have been consistent for long enough.

He reckons that they should have given Leicester a bit more money for Vardy than they gave for Drinkwater.

Graeme Souness does not regret 'man's game' comment on Sky Sports

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness says he does not regret describing football as "a man's game" after Chelsea's fiery 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

His comments drew criticism from Chelsea striker and Euro 2022 winner Beth England and ex-England international Eniola Aluko.

Souness was analysing the physical nature of the game and referee Anthony Taylor's approach.

"It's a man's game all of a sudden again," Souness said on Sunday.

"I think we've got our football back, as I would enjoy football - men at it, blow for blow, and the referee letting them get on with it."

What a totally tone deaf comment from a football dinosaur. Wouldn't be surprised to see him given a lengthy "break" from Sky Sports

The football he was passing comment on though was a mens game of football. I think many are just looking for an excuse to be offended in this instance.

Don’t think he’s the best pundit in the world but agreed that people are reading too much into those comments

Don't be so bloody daft-it was an acceptable turn of phrase at a men's match.
As the other poster said, is there anything worse than people getting offended on behalf of others who might well not have been offended in the first place.?

Don’t agree at all. “It’s a mens game again, all of a sudden” is a way of saying “thank god the womens football is over and all the focus can now be on the properly on the mens game.”

As for getting offended on other peoples behalf, in the link I provided, there are 2 former international women footballers critiquing his response, so maybe they’re offended. I also never said I was offended, just merely pointed out it was a very tone deaf thing to say so soon after an amazing achievement.

They aren't inviting them anywhere, Liverpool are just a good side who can cope with playing a man down. A draw is a great result for Palace.

Really odd from Klopp starting Phillips today. Could probably add Milner to that too

Bench is incredibly weak at the moment…I wonder if there’s any regret on Klopp’s part in not retaining the likes of Origi and Minamino, two squad players who made an impact last year

Not a position they wanted to be in, already playing catch up to City

We’re Chelsea good or Spurs bad/playing for a point?
