Will put this here as not sure where else.

In 2014, Ethan Brierly walked out as mascot with his favourite Rochdale player, Ian Henderson.

Fast forward to last night and he set up the goal which made Henderson the all time leading goalscorer for Rochdale.

May just be knee-jerk reactions but there seems to be a growing consensus that Moyes is in trouble and they may pull the trigger with a defeat against Leicester on Saturday which is odd. Admittedly they had a poor second half last season and haven’t started this one too brightly but he’s transformed that team

There is though, a belief that he can’t deal with high technical players (couldn’t get Haller going, flopped at United, Paqueta and Scamacca have both had indifferent starts)

With a 6 week break coming up in the PL, if you are even tempted to make a change now is the time to do it. Defeat to an improving Leicester is quite likely but they won't be in the bottom 3 given Soton are at Liverpool and Bournemouth & Everton play each other.

It does feel though like they are just bumbling along in the league this year, though doing well in the ECL.

If you change a manager now, he has weeks to work with non-WC players and probably 2 week to work with virtually a whole squad before the next game. There is then only 2 games until the window is open.

So if Moyes is in danger, which is likely, then now is the perfect time to do it rather than waiting the entire break and getting rid after a couple of poor results post break.

City never looked like breaking them down and all credit to Brentford. They defended brilliantly as a unit

De Bruyne looks a shadow of his former self

I know it's unpopular to like Brendan Rogers on here, but pleased for him and Leicester that he's turned things around.

What's going wrong at West Ham?

I am loving what Thomas Frank is doing there.

I have no ties to Brentford (well, maybe only tenuous ones anyway) but they have become my ‘Premier’ team.

The S-Housery shown by Newcastle was off the scale. I was hoping for a much bigger punch up at the end.

If Moyes is in danger then surely Lampard is.
Two defeats in a week to Bournemouth, once by their reserves and today by their first team.
This all follows a 2-0 drubbing at home to Leicester.

Incidentally for every star player that goes into management and succeeds such as Pep and Ancelotti there are so many more who succeed and haven't been standout players, e.g., Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho, Klopp, Shankly et al so Gerrard and Lampard should not have been expected to be instant successes.

I’ve always had a soft spot for them because we used to have a really good record at Griffin Park
They’re still popular because they’re not pretentious, just get on with the job

Would’ve been so easy to head for the corner on 98 minutes

First time watching Fulham this season - thought they were terrific, much better than their feeble Prem attempts of recent years. Passed and moved through the areas of the pitch and were probably a Mitrovic off winning that. Silva has done a very good job there

Doesn’t matter too much in the grand scheme of things but was surprised to read only 18 of the 60 seconds in the first half and 55 of the 180 seconds in the second half were “in play action”. The whole argument to stop time wasting of “refs add it on” doesn’t add up. Injury, sub and celebration all in added time and weren’t accounted for. Poor from the ref
