MouldyRoyal Massive improvement over Sturridge imo. Will be interesting to see just how well he does with the pressure of a top four side.

Whilst I'll be shot down for mkaing this comparison, it's a bit like Pog.

Consistent last year, but will a change of scenery replicate the form?

Strange player, Ba. He has the touch of the Rougiers about him in the way he lopes around the field, but has spells where he looks like one of the best players in the world. And you can’t argue with his goalscoring record.

No doubt Chelsea have got a steal at £7m, will be interesting how he fits into their style of play though – don’t recall how well he links with Ben Arfa, but it’s that sort of pacy, attacking football that Chelsea play.

I think we may have had the same thought, is he really good enough for the Champions of Europe? We shall see I guess.

I suspect we can't get Falcao or alike until the Summer transfer window opens, so the signing of Ba at that price is a great deal and certainly improves the options up front. it's a no brainer really.

Similar to some of the lower cost, therefore lower risk signings by Reading.

If it works out, great. If it doesn't, 7m is peanuts to Chelsea.

£7M fee and a (relatively) moderate wage really is nothing to a top 4 team. If he gets them a handful of goals that help secure CL football or win them a cup etc then he has more than repaid the cost. If they sell him in 12 months time having replaced him with someone better in the summer then they will recoup the money, maybe more.

Will be interesting to see how he does. Never thought him all that good to be honest but with better players around him who knows.

Joe Cole joins West Ham on a free transfer. Rumoured that Liverpool are paying Cole a negotiated settlement fee to get him to leave.

Good signing that.

Maybe Sig will move on now.

Alex Ferguson asks the PL to investigate the transfer of Ezekiel Fryers from Standard Liege to Spurs.

Was a Man Utd player until the end of last season, Spurs wanted him in the summer when his contract was up but a tribunal would have set a fee, in the region of £5M-£6M. Spurs said they couldn't afford him, he joined Standard Liege for £250,000 (no tribunal for moving abroad) and Spurs sign him this week for a reported £900,000.

LOL @ behaving like his own sh*t don't stink!

After the way Man Utd behaved over signing Berbatov I don't think Daniel Levy will be losing any sleep over Feeguson's unhappiness now!
