Enjoyed that, decent game for a 0-0

Did highlight the most prevalent issue both sides face which is a lack of squad depth. Arsenal with one sub (a RB) and Newcastle turning to Wood and Murphy as their subs

Arteta as always behaving like a clown on the touch line, not sure why he’s allowed to get away with it, really unpleasant

Didn't realise quite how good Casemiro was until he came to United...obvs you don't win 5 CLs if you can't play but still!

Motd last two games...easily!

The top 4 battle is set to get interesting in the next couple of games as a number of the competing teams play each other

Spurs play: Arsenal, Man City A...Man City H
Arsenal: Spurs, Man Utd...Man City
Man City: Chelsea, Man Utd, Spurs H...Spurs A
Man Utd: City, Arsenal
Liverpool: Chelsea

Liverpool have the best run over the next month or two.

Fair to say that if Arsenal are still top come 16th Feb, it might be time to believe.

lolz at including Spurs in that list.

I'd rather face them than Brighton, Brentford or Fulham at the moment.

They have a really weird habit of conceding the first goal in every game

Since the 7th September, they’ve scored the first goal in a game just twice which is quite remarkable. Liverpool’s wasn’t too dissimilar for a period although they seem to have picked up a little bit since then

Arsenal must be delighted that Spurs have arrived at the corner (they’ll only have turned it after another 4/5 games), just in time for the North London derby

Bentancur should be back for then. He's a ridiculously underrated player, really makes Spurs tick.

Gil was great last night, you could see the difference it made having a creative player in there.

Agree on Bentancur.
Can somebody explain the point of Oliver Skipp?
It's as if Spurs need a nonentity in midfield and Skipp seems to be the new Winks (how on earth did he get to play for England? and further back Parker.

As for Spurs last night, a classic example of having good finishers-Palace have a very creative midfield but don't have top strikers to finish things off.
I guess it is an obvious fact that the best and wealthiest clubs tend to have the best strikers.

Remains to my utmost bemusement that Zaha hasn't become one of those excellent, 20-goal a season strikers. He has all the attributes that a modern-day forward needs.

What a torrid time Neil Harris and Gillingham are having this season. How quickly has his stock fallen? Gillingham have scored 7 league goals this season. Yep thats right 7. They are not getting stuffed but clearly goalscoring is a severe issue.

Just appointed Jackett and Hassentuler (spelling) to help "upstairs"

His finishing has always been iffy. Always think he's more an old fashioned winger than a striker but having to play more centrally as Palace need him there.

Scored 4 at home and 3 away. Last win in division 4/league 2 was at home to Sutton on 1st October 2022. They have failed to score more than 1 goal in any league game this season. Their current from is played 12, won 0, drawn 4, lost 8 for 4 against 17. The 2-1 defeat at Sutton last Saturday was the first league goal scored since 22nd October (9 games ago).

Meanwhile behind the scenes chairman and owner Paul Scally finally moved aside in December and the club is now owned by Florida property tycoon Brad Galinson, though Paul does retain a minority interest in the club. The Gills have now added Crawley striker Tom Nichols to their ranks so perhaps things may start to pick up.

Which reminds me of that 2-2 at Gillingham 22 years ago when Reading loanee Mark Nicholls was in unstoppable form and Gillingham were on their way to four seasons in division 2/championship.

I didn see him behaving any differently to Klopp or Guardiola at times...yes it's disgusting the way the officials are abused but Klopp has to be one the worst.

On another note though Soton look definitely down to me. Looks like a short trip next season to them hopefully.

Chelsea look utter gash. Most of those players can't pass the ball 5 yards. No words can describe the keeper either. Why is he pulling out of crosses that should be his. They look utterly toothless up front. All that money spent as well to be this crap.

There were three crosses, including the goal, that Kepa pulled out of
What is going through his mind at that point ?

The changes have been welcomed by Gillingham fans who see most of issues relating to off field leaving them with a squad that is relatively devoid of any real talent. May need to drop down though to rebuild but 5 points is not insurmountable if they can somehow start scoring.

And yet Potter will get the blame.

As for Kepa - yeah, that was just weird / terrible. Grealish's 1st time cross was exquisite, but it should never have reached Mahrez.

PS WTF has happened to Foden? Since that early season goal-scoring fest, he has looked way off the pace.

I've watched it again, and Kepa actually pulls his hands away from the ball
Is he a mate of Ivan Toney ?
