Marvellous. Lovely new ground, middle of nowhere, decent-ish beer. Would have been tempted myself but will be at Royston. I guess you've seen the 'limited' public transport options...

Worthing FC fined and censured for their behaviour on the flight to Gatwick after losing 4-1 in Guernsey on 26/10. They subsequently released two of their players, one of whom - Jamie Crellin - then subsequently signed for Peacehaven & Telscombe, who played in Guernsey on Saturday. Fortunately they had the sense to leave the scally behind this time.

Might wander down to Egham Town, since I can get to their ground in about 3 minutes from my house.

You should do - went there earlier in the season, you'll probably see a decent game. 'Basic' facilities, but a clubhouse with Sky and BT Sports. St. Ives better away from home, Egham have slipped up recently but still have a threat (ex-Rebel Ryan O'Toole up front).

... on the off chance anyone was planning a trip to the palatial splendour of Krooner Park [CCLP Camberley v Molesey] tomorrow PM - KO brought forward an hour to 14:00 - something to do with work required on the lights not having a guaranteed completion time.

(Ascot Ales: 'Alligator' available in the bar on my visit earlier this season)

Undecided - as ever - for tomorrow - youngest is playing at 10:15 - means I'll probably have to decide somewhere fairly low down & local around lunchtime - one or two intriguing matches in the NBerks Cup :?

... if he wants to come with me - might let him choose - that's rather assuming my mate I normally go with, is still in 'Lord Lucan' mode this w/e- he does this from time to time. :|

Non league and match fixing in the news again.

Not surprised one bit. Having betting all the way down to Ryman/Southern prem level is asking for trouble. Its a big a can of worms as the cash in hand undeclared pay is in non league football!

... my mate re-emerged from his self-imposed exile and we set out for (and reached, only just) Hellenic One West: Tytherington Rocks 5-0 Carterton
- made for me what's known as a 'Champagne Match' as it completed the Premier and First (East & West) divisions of the Hellenic. Though technically I haven't actually seen New College play at home on their Supermarine RFC pitch - but I'm 'half-ticking' them as I have been to Supermarine FC - which is where they play more often than not.
- very nearly had to divert to a different match altogether: as bits of Diddy Power Station were still intent on clogging up the M4 westbound - but I diverted off NW at Sw!nedon and nipped up to Birdlip and down to the M5. Tytherington is a tiny hamlet tucked up into the folds of the hills above Iron Acton nr Thornbury. Ground is adjacent to the M5 itself but not that near a junction. Back home via M4 - much quicker home by 18:15 - further delayed slightly by the Ol' Bill deciding to close the road (B3270) at jn 11 - leading below Shire hall to Shinfield Rd

Still got it apparently. Scored two for Wealdstone in a 4 - 1 win away to Dulwich Hamlet (Ryman League Premier). The second one from deep in his own half.

That was a toughie. Hanworth Villa are the best side I have seen us play all season. Why they are mid table is beyond me. They gave it everything - especially in the second half and did not deserve to lose. That said, they did not do enough to win either so with the two goals in a minute in the first half, our impressive run continues. And I have resigned from the Windsor FC Management Committee as of today.

Anyone noticed the top of the Conference North table?
Unlikely you would I know!

Five teams all have 32 points! Now that's what I call a close run league

Four Of Clubs 27 Daventry Town 0-1 Maidenhead United att 203

Far from the best game of football I've ever seen tbf but it's the result that counts (although I had 0-0 in the Golden Goal so I was a bit gutted). Daventry have their fair share of chunky lads and I thought they'd struggle to compete as the game wore on but that wasn't really the case. They'll rightfully feel disappointed not to have got something out of the game.

They'll also likely feel gutted at the attendance for what was apparently billed as their 'biggest ever home game' - there was a good 30+ Maidenhead included in that I reckon too.

It was a load of sh*te at Daventry tbh, Maidenhead look every each a side that will be relegated this season. 'Reward' for winning that tie is.....Barrow away, FFS.
