Well done Sluff!

Never been comfortable with Kettering's finances .........totally on the bones of their arses last season..... crying poverty ...yet then went and spent loads this season.

Two seasons on the trot that Merthyr have blown it...there is a place there for Mourhino

Four Of Clubs Rebels go two down early on @ Kettering then storm back to win it 3-2 2nd half - in the Premier (Southern) now!! :D :D

1st Half = :o
2nd Half = :? :) :D  8)
Great day - classic game of two halves on a terrible pitch, with the team playing into the wind really struggling to string two passes together. Credit to Kettering for allowing the celebrations at the end with no sour grapes, and for wishing Slough well for next season.

Attendance 2,331 + maybe another 50 on the bank at the back (never had to queue for 20 minutes to get into a non-league game before), with about 300-400 from Slough. Great scenes (again) at the end, with Dave Programmes being mobbed by the players. Best of all, finally beaten my own play-off jinx not at Wembley, or Cardiff, but deepest darkest Northants!

Former Reading player, joint manager and pundit Mick Gooding has been appointed as club coach

..................................................................................

To Thatcham Town...following their self-requested relegation to Step Five next season.

I'm not sure we will miss him too much tbh. Strong and brave but we need more pace at the back.

 Comedy gold. How long do you give it? Give the playing Prince 6 months and 2 years until another person takes control of the club.

With all these meltdowns season after season it is surely only a matter of time until the well-run Maidenhead United end up in the Conference Premier by default 8)

Well Maidenhead are aiming for a mid table finish. That may very well be a promotion spot one day!

Think that Hypps has done an amazing job over the past four or five years (with all things considered) to keep them where they are.

Unusually reassuring to see his employers seeing it that way too.

Couple of last gasp escapes, one AGM Cup win, couple of memorable cup runs and the best period of success the club has ever had. I love Hippolyte, his teams are often ill-disciplined and poor defensively but he is a brilliant character. Peculiarly, there is a small hardcore of bitter and cliquey old weirdos on the terraces who hate him but I look forward to another season of Conference South football next season 8)

Looks like Slough have had a major blow to their plans of a new ground.

But never mind. They got promoted.
