Liverpool fan in cover up shocker. We did nothing wrong la. Not quite as bad as murdering Italians or charging gates without tickets killing your own but still...

it wasn’t long before the word’s to Riise’s chant were changed by the home crowd. “John Arne Riise, ooh, ahh, I wanna know, how did you break Smith’s leg?”

An ambulance took Smith away from the ground and the BBC reported that this was attacked by Liverpool fans.

The two paramedics – both Liverpool fans – were described as being “horrified” by the hostility shown once the culprits realised the occupants of the ambulance were Alan Smith and Manchester United’s club doctor Mike Stone.

A spokesman for the Merseyside ambulance trust confirmed the attack: “It did not result in any delay in transferring the player to hospital but the trust cannot condone this type of behaviour while administering emergency treatment.”

Liverpool also condemned the behaviour of the fans that did it, claiming they weren’t real supporters.

“These people aren’t real fans of football. The actions of a few idiots should not overshadow the efforts of all involved to make sure Alan received the best treatment as soon as possible.”

The BBC also reported that Smith: was given a general anaesthetic before he left the stadium so was not aware of the attack on the ambulance.

Despite winning the game that day, the fans soured their reputation, not only for ambushing Smith’s ambulance, but for shitting in paper cups and throwing it them at the United fans.

Liverpool stadium and operations manager Ged Poynton again expressed his regret that their fans would behave this way.

‘We hold our hands up as a club,” he said. “We deplore what certain fans have done. I use the word coward very reservedly but I class anyone who wants to throw a coin or something else when they are leaving as cowards. I am ashamed to admit in one case excrement was thrown. How low can you get? We did what we could, we tried to brush people down and compensate those involved.”

A manc fan showing his double standards. W-anks himself silly and brags on here when their scummer fans act up and scare women and kids at a game at Norwich even posting up a police repot about it. Then hears something about a few idiot fans of another team misbehaving and criticicises them. Gotta laugh at the hypocritical knobhead.

To devi8 back to the football for a second, Liverpool's first goal was fantastic. Another gr8 game in what's been a gr8 premiership season.

Sterling last seen being the first name on Hodgson's teamsheet.

Scouser accusing others of double standards

Because they treat Heysel and Hillsborough in exactly the same way.

You lot bring a new meaning to low life scum.

As Juve fans said - Sheffield 1989, God exists.

genome Why the hell would you get worked up about adding 7 minutes to kick off time to commemorate the deaths of 96 people?

you obviously don't watch Foyles War at 5:15pm Sat on ITV3. There would be no way i'd be back in time if we'd have had a 3:07pm Sat kick-off. I'd have been absolutely livid

Super game but even the staunchest Liverpool fan has to admit they got away with that. City played them off the park second half and Suarez should have been long gone.

Still, usual blistering start by Liverpool and it's one step closer to the worst title result possible. Pleeeeease can someone stop this calamity happening.

Whilst you have a point - you're doing the stereotypical Liverpool fan thing of......

Suarez is guilty of racism - Liverpool fans reply with "What about John Terry"
Liverpool fans (who often act as idiots) - "Yeah but what about so and so's fans"

It's a stupid mentality to have.

You don't find that opinion much in the media. What would be so calamitous about it?

Sterling looking brilliantly dogshit again.

Agreed Liverpool got away with it - how the ref didn't spot Skrtel's handball I don't know - but then maybe they deserved to for running the game until half time. They haven't exactly 'lucked' many victories this season, maybe that one was 'earned'.

Wasn't a penalty at West Ham last week (the 2nd decision).

I don't think anyone should get worked up about it. Nice gesture.

However, as a Bantams fan said to me last week - They'll be mightily pissed off if the FA don't do something similar for the 30th anniversary of the Bradford City fire next season as they always seem to be forgotten.

However before his later dive, Suarez was pushed over in the box by Kompany.

Come on Kes, you're better than this*. These things go both ways for all clubs during the season. Incredible how rattLOLed you're getting about Liverpool getting the rub of the green.

Great attitude from Pellegrini after the game. "Yes, a few decisions were wrong, but that's not why we lost the game."

Refreshing.

*Ok, you're not.

Yes but Bradford fans largely aren't whiny loudmouths who hate everyone that isn't them.
