Victor Meldrew
readingbedding LIverpool have a poor, poor side this year.

Presumably a very good side wins The Premiership,a quite good side comes 2nd,a good side comes 3rd and a fairly good side comes 4th with a plain good side finishing 5th.
A poor side would be relegated and a poor, poor side (like Hull)would finish bottom.
Liverpool are far from being a poor, poor side-such teams don't draw at Lyon or stuff Man Utd-but their squad is probably only good enough for a 3rd,4th or 5th spot position at the end of the season.

Incidentally Man Utd's squad doesn't look that strong when you see them shipping 3 goals at home again-probably strong enough for a 2nd ,3rd or 4th spot finish but seemingly some way short of Chelsea this season.

You misunderstand me, I'm not talking about Hull.
I'm talking about Liverpool.
This is the worst squad Benitez has had since he took over.
They are a poor, poor side this year.

But logically if a team is in 6th place in probably the 2nd best league in the world they can't be "poor, poor" especially having recently easily beaten last season's Champions .

Like most Man Utd fans you seem to have this massive inferiority complex when it comes to the question of Liverpool (quite rightly of course).
I would suggest that after last Sunday Man Utd fans ought to start worrying about their own squad (rather than worry about Liverpool)as they stand 5 points off the lead and are no longer a side to be frightened of and have even been beaten by a Liverpool side that some people regard as poor, poor.

The continuing demise of LFC is the only thing that keeps me interested in football. I'm sick to death of the antics of Stevie G, Ronaldo (whilst at Utd), Lampard and Terry. I haven't been to see Reading this year or watched a game on tv as i refuse to contribute to the aforementioned retirement funds (etc)

Utd are an unbalanced side and far from the finished article.

So now (as per your earlier post) that ends your interest in football-goodbye.

22:05 Disco - Stevie G has kindly volunteered to take on the resident DJ so that we can have our own music on.

If Liverpool win the Europa League and the FA Cup I bet they'll claim it as 'The Double'.

Not in Liverpool's case because the league is home and hosed for Chelsea so from their perspective the Europa League and FA Cup as you rightly say would be The Double.
I shouldn't worry about it m8-being homeless you have much bigger problems to worry about and sales of the Big Issue are more important than this little issue..
